🌊While we’re still in the season of my young adult Southern gothic debut Our Devil’s Awake (releasing July 3rd), I wanted to take a moment to remind you I have a second YA oceanic dark fantasy novel coming out in less than one year (how is it already so soon??) called MOONDANCER HOUSE🌊

Pictured here is its shelf at my writing desk featuring sea dragon character art by @paladinpendragon and a scale and fang sculpted by my incredible husband @quickcreatures

“Never accept gifts from the sea, young miss, or you’ll be fed to the abyss.”

A Study in Drowning x Tenderly, I Am Devoured in which a heartbroken teenage girl discovers her family beach house is haunted by a murderous god bent on claiming her soul and to stop him, she must retrieve the fabled water of life from the fearsome sea dragon that guards it.

What’s inside:
🌊 a soft bi poet FMC
🐚poly rep
🌊 haunted beach house
🐚sea sprites and dragons
🌊 immersive descriptions
🐚eldritch deep sea mythology
🌊 “you’re mine” -the villain
🐚fantasy but make it creepy
🌊 love triangle becomes why not both?

Thirteen years married to this kind, sweet, talented man who makes every day so full of wonder and light. From collaborating on art projects, helping me unravel a stubborn plot point, exploring antique shops and museums and of course, never stopping me from buying all the books I want, thank you for being YOU. I love you so much, Eric. Happy anniversary!

I see you’ve missed us! 👀

While Chloe has been hard at work writing books and short stories, including two soon-to-be published YA horror novels, Eric is building some new creatures and prepping for the upcoming school year (ah, the life of an art teacher slash head of the theater’s effects department…)

We were so bummed we got rained out of our last big market, but fear not! We’re planning more pop-ups and events as we speak and we’re always adding new things to the online store if you wanna check it out.

That’s all for now. Hope you’re having a magical summer 🫶🫶🫶

Olivia and Alex's wedding had me at the Fennec Social on Saturday for both the ceremony and reception! The bride and groom were joined by their best friends and family on the dancefloor for a non-stop celebration with a detailed, carefully curated playlist by the bride. They danced to upbeat songs as I mixed it all up from disco to dance house to a little bit of rap! Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Quick!! Enjoy my DJ perspective reel of yet another fun wedding!!

"You have bewitched me body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. And wish from this day forth never to be parted from you." 🦋

Literally the wintery, romantic, gothic shoot of my dreams and what a way to spend a the snow day and kick off 2025! Forever grateful to have met @chloe.york.art last year and collab with her again. Aren't her and her husband to die for?!! 🙀 Please go support them and follow them at @mythomenagerie and @quickcreatures.

My girl @beautybyaudriepaige absolutely slayed as always on hair and makeup. Thank you all for embracing the freezing cold and making magic together. 👏🏻
