A crystal creature for day 1 of Inktober.
This was actually made using the Adobe Sketchbook app on my phone, and I’m going to make all of my entries this way since I have so much going on (is October the busiest month for all artists, or just me?) For this reason, I’m going to be making these really fast and rough this year, and so maybe I can actually complete all of the entries this time. Also, I will be posting images of past projects since I haven’t been on here for a while, so stay tuned! by @quickcreatures

Happy #internationalwomensday to the most beautiful and hardest working woman I know, @chloe.york.art ! She is not only an amazing painter, but also creates and curates the vast majority of our work for @mythomenagerie . AND she is currently responsible for our crazy awesome & wild daughter during the day for most of the week. As you can see, she does a lot.

I am constantly inspired by how much you have accomplished, and appreciate all you do for me, our art, and our family. You are my hero, my muse, my best friend. I love you, Chloe, always.

Did a quick partial casting of @nickdarm ‘s Cthulhu statuette to make sunken ruins for Echo’s new pet, Ponyo. Made with aquarium safe epoxy resin poured into the mold at a slight angle. We are now selling the Cthulhu statuettes at @mythomenagerie , but let me know if you’d be interested in getting a ruin statue version like this! If so, I might make some with coral and barnacles growing on them... by @quickcreatures

I have been working on a ton of things for @mythomenagerie , making sure everything is ready for our grand opening with @ritualshelter this Saturday! @chloe.york.art has been working non-stop on new framed insects and specimens, as well as finding magical artwork and objects to fill every corner of the shop. We hope to see you there!

Here is the sign I just finished and will hang outside the shop in the morning (though I may still do a few more touch ups and a little more weathering in places, I’m a perfectionist after all.) More photos to come! by @quickcreatures

Happy Star Wars Day, and May the 4th be with you! I made this baby Yoda sculpture as a Christmas gift for my dad last year. I’m so excited to watch the new behind the scenes of how the Mandalorian series was created! by @quickcreatures

A rough and sketchy little test I made for #alienday using FlipaClip. The xenomorph is definitely one of the best creature designs in all of film history. Eventually I’ll have to make a little sculpture of one for myself! by @quickcreatures

Currently learning how to play @illimat , a game I had gotten as a gift a while back. I love the design, and have been a longtime fan of @carsonellis ‘s art and the music of @thedecemberists . I also really like the idea of the okus tokens in the game, and that you can use any small object as your okus and build a collection. Mine currently consists of a carved wooden Chinese dragon, a camel bone die from India, pieces of amethyst and carnelian, a little key, and the original metal tokens. #societyofluminaries by @quickcreatures
