Smile…

We saw a lot of smiles at our men’s retreat.

Once we’d created a deep bond, a sense of brotherhood, we expressed ourselves fully and supported one another to process the repressed emotions we hadn’t had the space to work through outside of our own minds.

The release was cathartic, and the result was LOVE. We really felt a lot of love for each other. But more than that it was a felt sense of respect, and compassion, honour and sincere appreciation for the space we shared. We cared for each other.

It took courage to be vulnerable with strangers. To share and grow together took a leap of faith from everyone but the pay off was immense!

I think that’s what’s really important, men supporting men to rid themselves of the things that don’t serve them anymore. Taking a genuine interest in each other, and honouring the bravery it takes to do the work in this way.

We are moving away from competition into collaboration. And i’m here for it!

DM me if you or anyone you know would benefit from this work.

I've been on two retreats recently with @mantraholisticsupport. This was unfamiliar, uncomfortable stuff for me involving unusual and powerful experiences that are quite hard to describe.

I've had a go at writing about it over on Substack.
There's a wee link in my bio.

If you know a guy who's been struggling with mental health or wellbeing or has stuff to work through please pass this on. I'm happy to talk about the retreats in more detail.

This is menswork…

At the recent Mantra Mens Retreat we laughed, we cried, we shared, we listened, and challenged each other. We did a lot of inner work and we went home better men.

If you want to join us in May 2023 bookings are now open on our website.

We also have 1 day ‘Mens Council’ retreats, 4th of December & 12th of January, DM to inquire.

Honouring the 24 men who came along to do the work a couple of weeks ago. In awe of your courage and conviction to create change in your lives. You should be proud of yourselves and know that you are loved!

We started something pretty special and I can’t wait to continue on this journey supporting you all and all the men of Scotland that feel called to this work.

Husha!!

The Rope supports healthy mobility patterns, provides a cardio workout and promotes a meditation like flow quality. I'm still a beginner but I am hooked 👌💯

Thanks @quietincommon for capturing this moment

“In a grateful heart, a tree of love will grow deep” - Radanath swammi

I’ve taken up the habit of verbalising my gratitude each day. Practising gratitude before bed every night has really allowed me to end the day on a high every day.

Some days I think “fuck, today was rough” but then I use gratitude to take a step back a see the bigger picture. Yes I might of had a shit day but boy am I grateful that I have a roof over my head, I can provide for myself, I am safe.

These simple ideas can be overlooked in our day to day lives but when we stop to remember them they can carry a huge sense of happiness.

Gratitude can provide perspective. Perspective can ease out self imposed suffering.

What are you grateful for?
