I found out I was a @donaintl certified doula literally as I was serving as my sister @qweenkobra ‘s doula, with baby boy on me the entire time. Birthwork is sacred work, a part of my priesthood and a deep passion of mine. As a doula my role is to provide those extra hands needed as families navigate the portal that is new life. as Olosun, Elegbe, Iyanifa, it is with great responsibility that I curate space for Spirit to be potent. Birth is unpredictable, but it creates a high that I’m all the way hooked on.

After I had my son at the end of last year, I gave myself one single goal for 2026 — to get certified and take my doula practice to the next level, and I got it done in 5 months. I’m so proud of myself. I’ve been serving as a doula for 4 years now, and still only at the very beginning of a life of this work. I have big visions for these hands. Ore Yeye ooooo 🔔🤰🏽

Born and raised on the West Coast… but Brooklyn has had my heart for the last 15 years 🤎✨

So honestly, it only felt right to celebrate this baby bi-coastally: one shower for my LA roots and another for my NYC family 💞

Last month, my LA family welcomed us with the sweetest intimate backyard baby shower filled with so much love, laughter, delicious tacos dorados, aguas frescas, and familiar faces I hadn’t seen in years. Simple, beautiful, and exactly what I needed 🫶🏽

Thank you to my family for opening your home and helping coordinate everything — from decorating, cooking, and setting up, to organizing games and pouring so much love into this celebration for our baby. It truly meant the world to me.

And most importantly… thank you to my heart, Andre 🤎
For supporting this vision, helping make it happen, and loving me through every part of this journey into motherhood.

Life isn’t always perfect, and families aren’t always simple, but moments like these remind me how blessed I am to still be surrounded by love.

Now looking forward to celebrating with my East Coast friends and family this weekend for baby shower number two 🥹✨

Brooklyn… you’re up next 💫

Happy International Women’s Day ✨

As I come out of my sabbatical, I’ve gained a deeper insight about myself and the woman I am becoming.

Today I stand in that truth and proclaim:

I am Woman.
I am brave.
I am peaceful.
I am healing.
I am happy.
I am wealthy.
I am fearless.
I am beautiful.
I am confident.
I am unstoppable.
I am determined.
I am loved.
I am supported.
I am protected.
I am creative.
I am resourceful.

And to the incredible women I’m tagging here — I see you, I honor you, and I celebrate the light you carry. Your strength, your grace, your resilience, and your dreams matter. Thank you for being a part of my circle and for continuing to rise in your own beautiful way.

I stand tall in my purpose and in my power.

I honor the women who came before me, the women walking beside me, and the women rising after me.

I am my sister’s keeper.
And together, we rise.

Happy International Women’s Day to every woman creating, healing, building, and leading. 💐✨

We’ve all heard stories of people moving to America to pursue their dreams, but what about the opposite? What about Americans who came to Nigeria to find their truth?

In episode 3 of my ongoing documentary series Exploring African Spirituality, I met a group of Americans who, after years of searching, have embraced the ancient Yoruba religion of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe. Their spiritual path led them not to a church or a mosque, but back to the very source of their newfound faith, to the heart of Nigeria.

I’m grateful to @thandiiiii @danacodyexperience, @qweenkobra and Mr Winston for speaking with me. And to @dreamstoafrica and @oyeniyi_sango for their help in connecting me with my esteemed guests.
