The past couple of days have been surreal. @1stphorm is more than just supplements for me. The culture, core values, community and people are everything that makes this brand exceptional. It’s something you truly can’t understand until you experience it. They’ve been with me through the lowest movements of my life and pushed me to continue when all I wanted to do was quit. I am better because of them. I chase personal excellence because of what I’ve learned from the culture. And this weekend, things that I’ve been working for and have only visualized came together. Here are my biggest takeaways I typed out on the planet to distract me from the horrible turbulence 🤓 You keep imagining the worst case scenario, but what if for once you imagined the best case scenario. What if it all works out? What if you shoot your shot and hit the target? You work so fucking hard. Why not? Don’t hold back. BELIEVE. Be so driven it makes people uncomfortable. They think you’re insane, good. They don’t see the vision. They don’t see what’s possible. Follow your dreams kids. It was also amazing to be able to see @guatamoose96 for 48 hours since he’s been gone for a few weeks and will be gone for a few more weeks. 🀄️ MAHJ 101: SIZE MATTERS. 😉 And yes… we’re still talking about Mahjong tiles. 😂 Before you fall in love with a gorgeous new set, there are a few things worth checking because not all tiles — or accessories — are created equal! 📏 TILE SIZE VARIES Height, width AND thickness can vary from brand to brand. 🀄️ CHECK YOUR RACK FIT Some tiles may not sit securely on every rack — and thicker tiles can be especially tricky. 📐 CHECK YOUR PUSHER LENGTH Larger tiles create a longer wall, so make sure your pushers can accommodate them. 🤍 PLAY WITH BLANKS? Adding extra tiles means a longer wall. Depending on your tile size and number of blanks, your wall may actually be longer than your rack or pusher! ✨ PRO TIPS FROM TEACH Piecing together your own set? Measure before you buy! 📏 👀 Look closely at the tile designs and colors. Can you easily distinguish the suits and numbers while playing? 🤍 Love playing with blanks? Check whether the set includes 4 or 6 blanks! 🀄️ Think about the racks you prefer. Hinge racks? Wooden racks? Magnetic racks? Make sure your tiles and racks play nicely together. And don’t forget the mat! Tile size, rack size, pusher length and even the number of tiles you play with can affect how everything fits on your table. There are SO many beautiful tiles, racks, mats and accessories out there. Do a little research before you buy so the pieces you love actually work well together. Bright. Bold. And full of little surprises. 🀄️ Another new tile set has officially been CRAK-ed open… and this one had me stopping to look at every single tile. 😍 From the colorful details to the Chinese-inspired symbols woven throughout the designs, there’s so much personality packed into this set. A crane on the Bird Bam, lucky knots, dragon dance imagery, beautiful Year of the Horse inspired details…and plenty more to discover. 🐉🪢💙 I love a tile set that’s pretty at first glance—but gets even more interesting the closer you look. 🎾➡️🀄️ Another one bites the dust… 😂 Kicked off the holiday weekend yesterday afternoon by teaching one of my tennis girlfriends, Jennie, how to play Mahj! September Summer 💕🀄️ There’s something pretty special about looking back at an evening like this. A room full of MAHJERS gathering around a table — some familiar faces, some joining a Teach Me Mahj Social Series for the very first time — laughing, learning, cheering for each other and, of course, celebrating every MAHJONG! 👑 I’m incredibly grateful for every person who claims a seat, brings a friend, comes back again, and continues to help this little mahjong community grow. What started with teaching the game has become so much more than tiles on a table. It’s connection. It’s confidence. It’s new friendships.
