🏆 SANGER JIU-JITSU STUDENT OF THE MONTH: SERGIO CAMARENA! 🏆 Sergio is making a strong case for Student of the Year! Over the past two weekends, he competed at two Jiu-Jitsu World League tournaments (Northern & Southern California) and finished with 6 wins, O losses, and two gold medals. Sergio is also the 2026 ADCC Gold Medalist! Those results reflect the work Sergio puts in every day. He trains hard, makes time for extra work, and leads by example. He makes the people around him better simply by showing up and giving his best. Sergio, thank you for helping coach our Little Apaches Jiu-Jitsu team. What an incredible two weekends for Sanger Jiu-Jitsu! 🥋🏅 Today at Jiu-Jitsu World League in Long Beach, we brought five players. All five reached the finals, and we came home with three gold medals and two silver medals. Last weekend in Stockton, we brought five players to Jiu-Jitsu World League and came home with five gold medals. From Northern California to Southern California, that’s 10 finalists, eight gold medals, and two silver medals across two weekends! We are grateful for our coaches, teammates, parents, community, and the Sanger businesses that have supported us from day one. A special shoutout to Sergio Camarena. Sergio earned gold today in Long Beach with three wins and no losses. He also earned gold last weekend in Stockton with another three wins and no losses. He has also won a gold medal on Jan 2026 at ADCC in Southern California, and what an outstanding run he’s had! Sergio’s dedication, hard work, and competitive spirit continue to shine. We believe he is among the very best in California in his age group, weight category, and belt rank. The future is bright for Sergio and the entire Sanger Jiu-Jitsu team. May the Lord continue to bless us. All glory to God! 🙏

Sanger Jiu-Jitsu at the 2026 IBJJF World Championship! My opponent displayed an incredible amount of sportsmanship after our match. He entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed, while I entered as the No. 7 seed. He shared that he had not lost a tournament match in several years—a true champion representing Canada. Competing against an athlete of this caliber on the world stage was an honor. This is what Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is all about: competition, respect, humility, and sportsmanship.
