The main event 🩵❤️

When the alarm went off at 5am it was go time

Much different from a Disney wake up
We had time to slowly get ready , have breakfast and walk to our corrals. With a 8:50am start time we had so much time !

Months of training lead us up to the start line of the Chicago marathon.

Coach Bennett (who the audio is) gave the perfect speech to everyone at the start line.

@raejael @mbrunstothecastle @lindsrunsdis @jaimees_fit_fairytale and I took on the course together. We all accomplished something so amazing that we should all be proud of 🥹

The weather was not in our favor but we did it. We completed the dang thing.

From chasing our first, second and third stars. To it even being a first marathon for @jaimees_fit_fairytale . And to personal PRs(in this weather you’re kidding 🥹) It’s a day we will never ever forget.

Along the course we had the best spectators. Carol, Joe, DJ, Jared, natalie and mama Stephanie. Truly made a difference seeing you guys and getting exactly what we needed to get through the course.

Chicago! Where do I even begin?

This weekend was more than I could have ever imagined. My first Major, and Chicago, you have me hooked!

From an incredible expo day, picking up my bib and my Shokz Chasing Stars kit, to a perfect-weather Abbott 5K, the weekend was full of unforgettable moments, endless photos, and running into the amazing Kellsies crew and so many friends.

Then came Marathon Sunday. The nerves were real, but a few encouraging words from Coach Bennett right before Corral L started made all the difference. Every mile, every interval, I felt strong and confident in the training I put in. To walk away with a HUGE PR on an unseasonably warm day is something I’ll carry with me forever.

A HUGE shoutout to our support crew all weekend, especially our husbands. ❤️ Twenty weeks of early mornings, training runs, questioning our sanity, and everything in between, followed by tracking us through the streets of Chicago to make sure we had everything we needed. Your support never goes unnoticed, and we couldn’t do this without you!

For now, it’s time to rest, recover, and soak in the feeling of earning my first star ⭐️ and completing my first Abbott World Marathon Major. Chicago, you were everything and more. Until the next adventure…

Chicago Marathon Flat lay - How are we here 🥹

🩵20 weeks of training. 20 weeks of early wake ups, good and bad runs. A lot of self motivation. It’s been months of learning, self doubt, and growth.
❤️This time last year I was preparing to start to earn my perfect Rundisney Season. Including my third Dopey and third marathon. Come December it was a “I’m running Chicago, who else is joining”
I signed up and was like sure , let’s run my first world major & my first stand alone marathon , we have months of training
🩵when the Rundisney season ended and a couple month break it was May. I said okay we are doing this. I made the decision to sign up with @runfitmama and have an accountability training plan and to get me worked up in the miles.
❤️summer months came and went. The miles added up. I believed in myself and the training plan. Going into marathon training prior I’ve only ran 15 miles once. This training cycle I’ve exceeded 15 miles multiple times. I wasn’t expecting the longer miles to go as well as they did. It was hot and humid. I’ve cried on some runs which is exactly what makes the great runs great.
🩵I couldn’t have gotten through this training cycle without the best girl gang. @lindsrunsdis @mbrunstothecastle @jaimees_fit_fairytale @raejael . Guys we are here 🥹. All of the training is done. The hay is in the barn. The early texts, the annoying texts. The holding each other accountable. I truly couldn’t have done it without you guys.
❤️it’s one more sleep. One more outfit change until we step up to the start line. Whatever happens tomorrow, we should be proud of what we’ve already accomplished.

Tomorrow is our victory lap. Cannot wait to see what Chi town brings

🩵🫶⭐️❤️ let’s earn that star 💫

Using Vibee to book our hotel + ticket bundle for the Backstreet Boys was SO easy! 💃🏼✨

We stayed at The Venetian, which was the perfect location for the Sphere. We could walk directly from the hotel to the Sphere without having to step outside into the Vegas heat—the entire walk was indoors and air-conditioned! 🙌🏼

Between having our hotel and concert tickets bundled together and being able to walk to the show, it made our whole experience so convenient.

And seeing the Backstreet Boys at the Sphere?! 🤩🎶 Definitely an experience I won’t forget!

Today, we say goodbye to Fast & Furious—Supercharged at Universal Studios Orlando. 🥹🏁

One last ride. One last “family.” One last trip down the streets of Los Angeles. 💨

After today, this attraction becomes part of Universal history—and I’m so glad I got to experience it. ❤️

Goodbye, Supercharged. You will be missed. 🏎️💨

Get Ready With Rae— Marathon Training Edition

Took this video for my friend who loves marathons!

This October, my friend @raejael will take on 26.2 miles along one of the world’s most iconic marathon courses as a proud member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities team. This year, every mile she’ll take will help support families with seriously ill or injured children by providing them with a place to stay, comfort, and hope when they need it most.

Check out her page to learn more about the training, fundraising journey, and ways that people can help support Ronald McDonald House Charities. 🙂
