We’re excited to welcome Rahma Suleiman to our Board of Directors! 🎊

Rahma’s journey is a powerful reminder of what youth leadership truly looks like in action. From starting out as a volunteer at Restless Development Tanzania to leading the Alumni Advisory Board for two terms, she has consistently shaped and strengthened our work from within bringing lived experience, clarity, and bold leadership every step of the way.

Her impact extends far beyond. Through her work with AUDA-NEPAD, Rahma is contributing to unlocking opportunities for young entrepreneurs across the continent

As we continue to push for youth-led, inclusive, and accountable development in Tanzania, Rahma brings a voice that is grounded, forward-looking, and deeply connected to the realities of young people

Last week, I attended a Youth-Led Organization Engagement Forum on HIV and SRHR Financing, hosted by @unaids_esa and other partners.

For three powerful days, we gathered as young leaders to strategize and learn ways we can collaborate, and walk boldly towards a future where youth voices are not just heard, but centered in SRHR and HIV responses across the region.

Spaces like these remind me why I do this work... because young people, in all our diversities, deserve agency, dignity, and access to the resources that support our health and freedom.

This work is personal, powerful, and most importantly, this work is ours. ❤️

Meet #educationplus young women leaders and others at the recent Education Plus Initiative convening in Johannesburg, South Africa.

UN co-sponsors and young leaders from Eastern and Southern Africa and West and Central Africa met to assess the progress and reflect on enhancing the Young Women Leadership Hub's advocacy, coordination, and sustainability strategies.

The Hub is a key pillar for the support and empowerment of young women and their networks across sub-Saharan Africa for greater involvement in HIV response, advancing health, education and economic rights towards ending AIDS as a public health threat.

Every adolescent girl and young woman should know how to protect themselves against HIV and prevent unwanted pregnancy.

HIV prevention programmes that promote youth-friendly comprehensive sexuality education are proven to improve young women’s sexual and reproductive health beyond protection from HIV.

Last week at the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa- #ICASA2023 in Harare, Zimbabwe, young women leaders from the #EducationPlus hub participated in various sessions and engaged with actors in advocacy to #endaids2030
