Four years and counting. 🌈

San Diego Foundation staff walked in the San Diego Pride Parade to celebrate community and support @rainbowcollegefund scholars. We believe everyone who calls San Diego County home should have the opportunity to prosper, thrive and feel like they belong.

Here are a few moments from a joyful day of showing up together.

The most powerful storytelling centers lived experience. We’re proud to share our work with (client) @rainbowcollegefund (powered by @sandiegofoundation) and the growing wave of media coverage amplifying #LGBTQ+ student voices across California.

From @bayareareporter to @losangelesblade and @timesofsandiego, these stories point to an important reality: many LGBTQ+ students aren’t only asking, “Can I afford tuition?” They’re also wondering, “Can I afford to stay enrolled?”

With scholarship applications open through March 4 and donations matched through April 15, this is media that moves the mission forward.

Read the full blog to learn how strategic storytelling is helping students stay safe, stay enrolled and stay on track toward graduation.
