Here's the result of the Fatapera Lamp installed in the #project. I really love the result.
It's simple, original, cheap and easy to do it!
Why do we always need to go and look beyond instead of looking around to a decor solution?!
We love #circularideas
Did you like it?!

TATIRANO PROJECT
They've been working in a small office for some time but the team was growing and growing and then it was about time to move to a bigger office.
And...we are positive that the team will keep growing so the layout had to be done in a way that is possible to rearrange in the future if more workspace are needed.

There are no fixed walls apart from the confere room and services. Furniture can be moved and a new layout and spaces can be created without wasting what we already have.

The plan is well organised but very permeable at the same time. Every sector have their own zone but they are connected in a way so working together it's easier.

2. The open spaces are an invitation to sit down, have a talk and also be creative! Hotdesks can be used if needed since Tatirano receives many students and collaborators from all over the world.
Apart from sofas, library there is the kitchen/bar area where employees and friends can hang out to talk, relax or have informal meetings.

3. Private spaces for meetings were missing on the previous office, so we've created the meeting pods that can be used for any of the teams. Using that strategy it is possible to have more spaces for all to use.

4.The confere room holds a transformable space with foldable tables and chairs, so any kind of creative workshop can be done in the space.

TATIRANO PROJECT
I couldn't be happier to work in a project for such an inspirational enterprise like Tatirano!

It really is one of those projects that fulfills your heart ❤️
It was made with all my love in collaboration with local carpenters, builders, people from the office helping out and all almost all the materials done locally! What a blessing to work with such creative and open minded people.

Here's a small 3D with the project ideas that are now a reality. Come visit the team in Fort Dauphin, Madagascar!

TATIRANO PROJECT
Everyone that lives in sout Madagascar it's so proud to say: I drink rainwater from Tatirano!

They are described as: "social enterprise aiming to empower women and lift people out of poverty by ensuring long term access to clean water for everyone, everywhere in Madagascar".

The mood board is very raw, working with the concrete that was already present on the warehouse (which we didn't change), local wood to bring some warmth together with green live plants that are the big responsibles to generate RAIN! We kept the industrial style, using simple materials that could be found locally, reusing some materials already used for their "jars" and inviting an artist to make an art wall.

📢✨ Big news from the world of container-based sanitation! 🌍🚽

Meet Dioloto Madagascar, the newest member of the Container-Based Sanitation Alliance! 🇲🇬💧 Inspired by SOIL’s EkoLakay model in Haiti 🇭🇹, Dioloto is tackling Fort Dauphin’s urgent sanitation challenges with an innovative, sustainable approach.

Like Haiti, Madagascar faces water table concerns, extreme weather, and infrastructure gaps that make traditional sanitation difficult. But Dioloto is proving that safe sanitation can be adapted to local contexts, creating lasting health and environmental benefits. 🌱 ♻️

As one Dioloto team member put it: “We’re not just providing toilets—we’re building a future where sanitation is safe, sustainable, and accessible for all.” 🚀 💙

Read more about how Dioloto is building a sanitation service from the ground up, fostering community ownership, and transforming waste into valuable resources: [https://www.oursoil.org/blog/2025-03/new-kid-sanitation-block-dioloto-madagascar] 🔗

Three villages near the protected Manombo forest in Madagascar now have 2000L water tanks to collect clean rainwater!

Community members in Sahamahitsy, Namahora, and Karimbelo highlighted that each of their villages were at risk of drinking contaminated water, and suggested rainwater collection as a solution to this health challenge.

Check out the video for a behind the scenes look at how, with the support of HIH, this community-designed solution was implemented and safe drinking water became accessible in each of these villages.

60 new rainwater harvesting systems completed in Manombo Commune!
In summer 2023, @dukeplanetlab uncovered high levels of bacterial contamination in village drinking water in South Eastern Madagascar.

Radical listening was carried out with the communities, and now 60 household rainwater catchment tanks have been built across 3 villages —bringing clean, safe drinking water to communities!

This project was a collaboration between @_improper, @tatirano.madagascar, @zarasoa.madagascar & @dukeplanetlab 🌍💙

We can’t wait to monitor how these systems are used & track their impact.

In the summer of 2023, members from Duke University’s PlanetLab tested the drinking water sources in a series of villages in Southeastern Madagascar. The results indicated alarmingly high levels of bacterial contamination. To address this problem, we helped facilitate a project between Health In Harmony, Tatirano, Zarasoa, and the PlanetLab to construct rainwater catchment tanks to provide clean, safe drinking water for the people in these villages.
