@phillycreate’s #DenimDay in March After a cold start in January, we got the perfect Spring day in late March, when over 100 people — models, photographers, creators, and more — showed up to make photos, friends, and memories at the Drexel campus. I used to spend much time here 16 years ago ‼️ during my Masters, but haven’t come back often. It was cool to appreciate the space, old and new, with old and new eyes. There was such great energy and enthusiasm that day, it drove home how much I love photography. While often a solo affair as I travel and see things alone, adrift in a sea of strangers, this was a highly collaborative and fun environment, where strangers left as friends, and rotating and working with different folks was encouraged. Great to get over shyness! Shots of individual models will follow, but here I center the photographers, both whom I saw and who saw me. It’s a viscerally strong feeling to be walking down a street with 70+ photographers. Oh what fun! #photography #philadelphia #march #latergram

Meta beyond the Dunes Part 5 Saying goodbye to this brilliant shoot with this final piece. And some bonus behind the scenes! We took over 1000 photos over 4 hours. I learned the value of sunscreen after having a mild burn. But I also learned a ton about photography, like I always do on shoots with @metatheyoung, and the results speak for themselves. #photoshoot #fujifilmxs20 #virginiabeach #may #latergram

6079. “I’ve been playing with computers since I was 2 years old.” - Born in Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), India, Terence Tuhinanshu took a liking to video games at a very early age. He spent countless hours playing ones like Prince of Persia, and around 11 years old channeled this interest into programming. - The son of an English Literature professor and an Indian Classical Music professor, Terence helped his parents build the online music education site, omenad.net. He then studied Computer Science in college and decided to move to Philly for his master’s. - Even though he grew up in India, Terence’s grandfather was a professor at uofpenn and helped start the Indian Classical Music program there. So Terence already felt a connection to Philadelphia, but opted to complete his studies at @drexeluniv. - He’s since stayed in the city working as a software engineer and building community through his jobs and activities, such as yoga. But Terence has also remained close to his family, and in recent years has helped digitize a lot of his grandfather’s musical compositions. Combining his skills with his parents, they created the Indian music notation website, https://omenad.github.io/fonts/, which has helped many others digitize their compositions as well. - These days, Terence enjoys the life he’s created in Philly, and going into 2024 simply looks forward to having more deeper conversations with those around him! Awesome hanging with you, @rajadain! • How we met: Terence came across my project via @stef.c.photo (#350) and then DM’ed me to meet! • #10kfriends #philly #centercity #rewa #princeofpersia #omenad #indianclassicalmusic #drexel #softwareengineer #yoga #musicalcomposition #musicnotation #deepconvo #somegoodnews #robs10kfriends #meetingpeople • Click the link in my bio if you’d like to support me via Patreon! 🙏🏼

Winter in India Part 4 Next I went to Ahmedabad to visit my cousins. I’d like to think that I get my sense of aesthetics and beauty from them, but mine is a small fraction of their home. Great to see my niece Vedica, and spend quality time building puzzles. #ahmedabad #cousins #interiordesign #puzzle #india #latergram

Happy Birthday to my friend, teacher, guide, and found family @yogawithteagan. I’ve been following her to yoga, dance, hikes, shows, and travel for more than 11 years now. She’s helped me and healed me through periods of heartbreak, depression, immobility, and physical pain. As professional and highly trained archaeologist, chef, dancer, historian, teacher, and yogi, with a drive for perfection and excellence, she exemplifies how much can be done by one person with discipline and perseverance. Always an inspiration and a grounded, rational sanity check, we are lucky to have you in our lives. #birthday
