#NABJ owes me nothing. It never has.

Having it in my favorite city was just a bonus.

It was super dope connecting with familiar faces from across the country working to make a difference in this space.

I ate good, met new people, connected with SHH Fam, stopped by King’s grave, went ~20 hours without opening my Macbook (lol) & got to catch the good brother @eugenedanieltv rock a panel and shake the room with his perspective.

And y’all KNOW I rode a scooter!!

I also got to holla at Vincent Goodwill about his crazy @kingjames takes on @firsttake !! We settled it tho! Lol

I’m coming back with a new perspective and new goals. I might even start back intentionally posting content & interviews instead of just letting them sit on the shelf only to be ran through the broadcast.

Can’t wait for Houston next year! Now it’s back to work…

Huge thank you to the team at @fox59 for having us on this morning.

Being able to sit down and discuss the critical importance of the Voting Rights Act, the reality of civic engagement in Indiana, and why we need to move from observation to action right now means everything to us. The battle for our representation is happening in real time, and getting to share that message on this platform is a vital part of the work.

If you haven’t secured your spot for Our Voice, Our Vote: Emergency Briefing yet, this is your official invitation.
Monday, May 18th
6:00 PM EST
Crossroads AME Church

For our April General Body Meeting we are holding a special event for the people!

In conjunction with @nulyp National Day of Service, The Exchange invites you out to our version of “Shark Tank” where you will gain valuable insight into what it means to start and market a new business.

Participants will be grouped into teams and will utilize AI tools to create a mock business plan and craft a pitch to a panel of local business experts. Everyone will have time to do research on the market and industry on their business. Each group will receive feedback from our panel.

The group that wins will leave with something special from The Exchange. We hope that everyone will be ready to start or manage a real business with new skills that carry them throughout their journey!

Come learn how to turn dreams into deals! 🦈✨

This past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to reconnect and grow at the @prsaecd Board Retreat & Conference in Dublin, Ohio.

I was blessed to have the honor of celebrating this year’s Diamond Awards, recognizing outstanding campaigns across the region, and hearing from @prsanational’s new CEO Matthew Marcial, CAE and Chair Ray Day, APR about their vision for the future of our profession.

I’m so grateful I was able to honor my dear friend, LaMar Holliday who received the Best in Show Diamond Award. And I met Christine DeJoy for the first time in person. We represented the @prsahoosier chapter well.

PRSA has truly shaped me into the practitioner I am today, and weekends like the one I just had remind me why I’m proud to be part of this incredible community.

Thank you to everyone who made our time in Dublin, Ohio so meaningful.

Today’s AdvocacyWorks Cohort 2 Session was all about turning passion into policy and stories into change.

From deep dives into Understanding Policy & Legislation to powerful insights on Effective Communications & Storytelling with LaMar Holliday, our cohort left equipped with tools to influence, inspire, and impact.

We also heard from a dynamic media and advocacy panel (Hannah Thomas, Matthew Fultz, and Amy Courtney) sharing how messaging, mobilization, and media can amplify a cause.

Every conversation reminded us: advocacy is both art and action. I'm so proud of the powerful, fearless voices that will be heard.
