Setting Up the Scene vs The Actual Scene

No one ever thinks about how much work goes into setting up a scene in a film. All the hands, and brains behind commiting to a single vision. It’s meant to look seamless and easy in order to immerse the viewer into the story. Movies are a sense of dillusion but that’s the exact reason why they are so beautiful & bring fulfillment into so many lives.

One Take.
Before & After.

Shooting a one take sequence is never easy. It all comes down to precision, timing & patience. This was a one take sequence that was deliberately rehearsed with the main actor & crew.

June & July

The most magical two months. In June, I got to celebrate the love of my life’s birthday ❤️🥹 and finally finish the manuscript I had been writing for four years, The Weaver. In July I got to finally explore my musical talents and finished writing my second short film (my first one was six years ago 😮).

All in all, these two months brought beautiful people, kind words, and a renewed love and awe for life. I haven’t felt this grateful in a while. ❤️ Cheers to a new month 🥂
