Taraheke describes Nadine Anne Hura (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Hine) as a "poet, essayist, zine maker and activist-by-stealth".

Nadine's writing harnesses the power of Indigenous storytelling to inspire collective action and sees Indigenous reclamation as creative practice. She shared this reading with us from her latest pukapuka 'Slowing The Sun' which is a collection of essays looking at the impact of climate damage through a relational lens rather than a wholly ecological one - enabling people to the connect with the kaupapa (cause, purpose) by understanding its impact on our spirit, our communities, our hauora (holistic health) and our cultural practices.

You can subscribe to read more of Nadine's writing at the link in her bio: @nadineannehura or grab a copy of Slowing The Sun from @bwb_books.
