When @melo_gao_loveswhales asks if you can compose Western-inspired Chinese cowboy music…..🤝 I’m so proud to be part of this one every step of the journey. In the score you can hear my favorite instrument in the world - the erhu, some baby guzheng, cowbells, mandolin, banjo, and everything chinese cowboy I could find and play….For the spirits of the Chinese railroad workers, I layered in Li Bai’s Chinese poetry, @onikhomusic ‘s Beijing opera, and @whitmorgy @somatticmusic ‘s cowboy whistling.

Our world premiere of Ramen Western at the Oscar-qualifying LA Asian Pacific Film Festival is TOMORROW! 🍜✨🌵
