After fishing for a few hours an losing some good fish I seen a big fish just sitting there on the edge of the canals feeding pretty hard out but I knew it wouldn’t be easy to sight fish a big fish like this so after trying for 20 or so minutes I managed to get a bite out of him but he pulled off so after changing all my gear out an putting on a size 16 nymph with only 4.8lb leader to give me the best chance of hooking him I finally managed to get him to swing out in the current. An he took my nymph an the fight was on after what felt like days of trying to bring him into the net I finally got him an he was a big old brownie

This fat wee bullet will be good on the smoker not the biggest fish but he sure did put up a fight let’s hope for a few big Trout in the up an coming weeks as the weather gets warmer. One thing I tell a lot of people is it’s not what u use it’s how u use it change the weight of your lures to match the flow it’s all about it looking most natural. good luck fishing
