On my first trip to Indonesia back in 1991, my buddy Ed Rapp and I stayed at a little losmen (home stay) on Poppies Lane II in the heart of Kuta, Bali 🇮🇩. It was super raw back then. We mostly surfed out on the bukit at Bingin, Impossibles, and Uluwatu. Since Eddie is a regular footer, he wanted to find this “remote” wave on the west side called, “Canggu.” This video sums up what it looked like as we arrived. The last photo I added to the video is me on the Yamaha DT100. Oh the good ‘ol’ days of exploration and adventure!
