Every city has that one spot. The place where everyone ends up, where you spend hours skating and somehow never get tired of it.

“15 years ago, @addis_u brought me and @rasabenezer to Meskel Square for the first time. We skated there, and over time, this place became part of our story. Now Addis has its own plaza. A place to skate, meet up, and spend the day with your friends. Being part of making this happen means a lot to us. We’ve been skating here for years, and now we’ve had the chance to help turn this place into something bigger for the skate community. Every big city has its own plaza, and seeing Addis get one of its own feels special. We’re proud to have been part of making it happen.” - Henock Yitbarek @henock_skate

A big thank you to everyone who showed up for our special screening of My Father's Shadow with co-writer and executive producer Wale Davies.

An up-close Q&A gave us real insight into the making of the film and Wale's relationship with it, Lucky attendees received signed posters from the man himself. These are just a few highlights of what was an incredible evening, and it was all thanks to you and your support.

A special thanks to Wale Davies for sitting down with us, sharing his process, and giving us a deeper look into the stories behind the film.

Until the next one.

Last october I was visiting Ethiopia to see what the skate scene is like and finally get some real beyaynetu (that‘s the dish in slide 3). Great country, great people, great food. If you‘re in Berlin tonight, hit them up @ethiopiaskate for a session at Uferstraße
