On this day 4 years ago we tied the knot. The original plan was just to go to city hall, but my granddaughter insisted that I have a real wedding because she wanted to be the flower girl and had several dresses picked out. She proceeded to shop for dresses and drove everyone crazy for weeks sending photos almost every day. I’m so glad she did because we ended up inviting our children and grandchildren and it was a memorable event with beautiful Sedona as the spectacular backdrop. Thanks to our wonderful families for showing up and thanks for taking the wonderful photos since the photographer didn’t make it! Anyhoo-here we are 4 years later and it truly feels like yesterday. We are truly Blessed and want to encourage folks that Love Doesn’t Expire at 50. Our love story started when we were 60. (Strobe light warning) We can’t believe it’s already been a year since this happened. One year since a team of phenomenal creatives gathered to make and experience something really new. No one from the team had ever done something quite like this., but they all accepted to journey together. With direction by @tonyyazbeckofficial and immersive projections by @sproctor, artist @andrewjnemr performed a *12-hour overnight solo improvised tap dance* The immersive event was captured by @katebosan and @cave_mfg and @peripheral_vision_pdx with production design by @robharari and production management by @rasheedatv. @littlefurydesign @emune @davidchangstudio provided visual direction and elements, while @gagehuntcreative contributed to the digital design of the project. Dark Night remains a unique expression of art, made to facilitate a space of encounter, reflection, and honoring of the choice to endure. That’s something we still feel is needed today. I stood in the middle of a Tampa street, dressed how I felt—bold, alive, and free.
Behind me, the traffic light turned from red to green.
