Sharing the recipe list from my cookbook, A Durable Shell, which is coming out this Sunday 10/18. I'm sharing a lot in this book, but I know I'm not the only one who has had to eat while grieving. Because to be alive is to grieve, and to be alive is to eat.

Anyways, we're having a cookbook launch dinner party this Sunday 10/18 at Cafe Lolo. They are angels on earth and made a menu that is based on the recipes in the book. Reserve a spot by emailing Cafe Lolo at cafeloloseattle@gmail.com.

~MENU~

Starter: Emmer + mustard green galette with chicory salad

Savory 1: Lamb soup with einkorn + braised greens

Savory 2: Seared romanesco + broccoli with cheesy mayocoba beans

Dessert: Spelt cardamom rhubarb cake

Ticket details:
* Ticket price ($105 pp + 20% service charge and tax)
* Ticket includes drink pairings (NA or wine)

It’s been one whole year since my cookbook was released.

I remain blown away and honored about all of the businesses and community centers (even a university!) who invited me to speak over the past year. I truly believe it’s community that will save us, and it’s something that spans miles and internet connections as well as our literal neighborhoods.

And y’all, I don’t ask for much. But the shirt that I’m wearing is my collab with @kindcotton an incredible company. Just last week, they were able to send 750 books to schools because every purchase will donate a picture book to an empty shelf. Of course I hope that my design resonates with you, because it’s the phrase that I feel most reflects the work that I do. But there’s a ton of worthy causes and beautiful shirts to explore, and Banned Books Week is coming up!

Thanks for being here ✌️ don’t be a jerk and free Palestine 🇵🇸

Image ID: Corrie is standing against a brick wall with their cookbook balanced on their head. The book is hot pink. Corrie is white with short hair and tattoos, wearing a pink shirt that says ‘human rights aren’t radical’ and green baggy linen pants. She’s making a slight face and looking at the camera.
