Making lemonade from lemons, heavy rocks not skipping stones. Looking forward to competing next week. Thanks Barb, Nisanne, and Scott! @enclavejiujitsu

My tournament adventures always develop my jiu jitsu but also compassion💔❤️- for myself, for my teammates, for people at home and around the world. When I return to my home gym (and dog) I’m satisfied, for a moment, until it’s time to take on the next challenge. I remind myself to relish every moment of it all- challenges of travel across the pond, patience with delays and human behavior, mindfulness, gratefulness for the sights and experience. All the heartache, all the joy. And it’s goes deeper every time. My jiu jitsu develops, but more importantly, my fire of compassion❤️‍🔥for everything and everyone. The world is a mat. Keep practicing. I encourage you all to find your “mat.”
