A sold-out all-dayer, an absolutely killer line-up, and one of those days that stays with you. 🖤

Huge thanks to Kunal, @chaostheorymusic and the whole Chaos Theory crew for making it happen, to every band who travelled and played, and to everyone who walked through that door and made the place shake.

Footage is in and we’re fully reliving all the chaos, noise, sunshine and beautiful moments of Beware of Banshees 2026. 🖤 We created Banshees to make space for voices that are too often pushed aside, to challenge gender norms and to build the kind of loud music scene we want to see. And on August 1st, you all helped us make that vision real. 🌈 So turn up the volume and take a little trip back with us.

The ritual may be over, but the Banshees will continue to screech. See you August 14th, 2027. ⚔️

Thank you for believing in @laybarerecordings and for being part of so many memorable moments. Playing Lay Bare Fest in London will always be one of the highlights.

Wishing you all the best in your new adventures. This may be the end of Rats and Daggers, but I’m sure our paths will cross again. 🐀🗡️💜

TO THE BANDS THAT MADE BANSHEES LOUD 👻⚡

We couldn't let our thank-yous end without giving some love to the people who made the stage shake. 🖤

@trutband thank you for opening the festival and bringing your vulnerability, power and heart to the stage. ✊🏻 @bigtearspunk you brought Dublin bubblegum, riot grrrl energy and so much heart, and showed us what true Banshees look like. 💋 @lornelornelorne you took us somewhere dark, dreamy and wonderfully overwhelming. What a wall of sound. 🌑 @serrrvice lived up to their song Short Answers, Quick Messages by stepping in last minute on the day itself and serving us atmospheric synths, dreamy melancholy and danceable darkness. 🦇 Shortly after, we got served what might have been @serveband's best set yet: crushing riffs, brutal breakdowns and raw emotion. You absolutely destroyed it. ⛓️ @bigmoth.band proved to be a true undiscovered gem. Heavy, groovy and progressive as hell, you managed to captivate the entire audience. 🦋 @cowboy_hunters brought the London grit, the attitude and the energy AND the dancing! Let's not forget the entire barracks going wild to YMCA. 🤠

And the biggest shout-out of all to @ratsanddaggers, the founders of our festival, playing their last show ever. Thank you not only for that amazing final performance, but for everything you've done for the scene and all the love and dedication you've poured into it over the years. 🐀

To every band: thank you for trusting us with your music, your energy and your stories. You helped make this edition into one to never forget. Stay loud. 👻

Met een skateboardworkshop voor volwassenen, panelgesprekken over diversiteit en inclusie, en een workshop ‘How to grunt’ is er voldoende te doen. Het past bij een festival dat de alternatieve kant van de pride wil tonen: er zijn gendernormen te doorbreken in elke maatschappelijke en culturele vorm. Zo creërt Beware of Banshees een safe space waar mensen zichzelf durven te uiten zoals zij dat willen.

The dress is fully made out of old fabrics, such as curtains and pants.

THANK YOU. 🖤👻

We're still finding glitter in our hair, bruises from the pit and words for what happened on Saturday. Because somehow... together, we made the biggest Beware of Banshees yet. A sold-out festival. Honest conversations. People moshing. Skateboards rolling. Activist bracelets being made. So many moments we'll carry with us for a long time. ⚔️

But none of this would've been possible without all of you. To our volunteers: thank you. 🖤 The craziest part? Some of you came up to thank us for letting you volunteer. But the truth is, we're the ones who should be thanking you. We simply couldn't have done it without you. 💪🏾 And to everyone who bought a ticket, travelled across the country (or even across borders 👀), moshed, learned, laughed, cried, skated, donated, listened and showed up...

From the bottom of our hearts... THANK YOU!

Beware of Banshees has always been a dream of what a loud music festival could feel like. On Saturday, all of you made that dream real. 💜
