Kiri and I ran the @cowdrayestate @rawenergyman "Run the Seasons" autumn 10km yesterday and Kiri did awesome!

The race ended with it much warmer than we'd like but she gave it her all and she got us into 3rd place!!

Awesome effort

Race number 2 of the season is a special one for Lemmy and I, last year we became overall series champions by placing first in each of the races and achieving maximum points. We're hoping to do the same again this year and we're off to a great start with a first place finish for race 1.

As a new @cxrc_canicross ambassador I'd welcome anyone racing alongside me to come and ask any questions or catch up with me if you're looking to find interesting places to run with your dogs. Alternatively if you're interested in tracking Lemmy and I and our activities then you can find us on @qpawsapp

Now onto the race review - @rawenergyman puts on a brilliant series of events every year, the race series I've mentioned is the Run the seasons series hosted at @cowdrayhouse and gives access to beautiful areas of private estate that we wouldn't have the luxury of enjoying without these events.

The Autumn race has it all. There's beautifully curated grass tracks, sections of woodland under immense canopies, bridleways and some gravel and short road sections too. The thing that really sticks out on these races is just how beautiful the scenery is around you, my personal favourite is the wooded descent in which you're surrounded by dense ferns and a low hanging tree cover before emerging out onto the gravel sections where the world emerges around you and the sunlight pours back into the course.

These races are available to both canicross and non dog runners and you overlap eachother depending on your distance and start time, in my case when things got to the tougher uphill sections at just before 8KM I got the boost of seeing the 5KM runners making their way to the finish.

The race is technical underfoot in some places and there's a fair amount of elevation so can be challenging but I wouldn't change it for the world.

To top it off these races coincide with events at the Cowdray farm shop and café and this time it was Apple day - celebrating this year's harvest and allowing people to buy anything from fresh fruit to Ciders, check them out!

Kicked off the @rawenergyman Run the Seasons at @cowdrayestate today with @mikedl650 and @sashagendre.

Autumn 5k today.

Such a fun event with an insane elevation, lots of laughs trying to run down hill and getting tripped by a Cani cross dog.

All four seasons medals slot together to make one so it’s worth it just for that! 🤣

Cowdray’s much-loved Apple Day and our next Run the Seasons race with @rawenergyman are just around the corner on Saturday, 10th October! 🍎🏃

Back for its fourth year, our Run the Seasons series kicks off this October, with races for both adults and children. It’s the perfect opportunity to start collecting your 2026/27 medals, with this year’s medals designed to interlink into one complete line.

Our autumn race coincides with Apple Day, when we’ll be celebrating all things apple! From pressing your own apples and taking part in an apple orchard hunt to apple crafts, apple skittles and more, plus the Great Apple Bake Off and a delicious selection of apple-themed food and drink, it’s set to be a fantastic day in the Cowdray Farm Shop Courtyard.

*This year, we’ll be ticketing the event, so please book your complimentary tickets via our website. This is simply to help us manage numbers and ensure there are plenty of apple-themed delights for everyone!
