Your energy shapes your reality - but sometimes others carry the energy for you. That 90 was my first time going heavy in months, and I wouldn’t have tried had it not been for the crew around me.

I’ve been journaling gratitude heaps - and I’ve got half the gym doing the same 😂 It quiets the amygdala, lowers the threat response, and creates space to take calculated risks again. I’m wildly grateful for this body of mine and everything it continues to let me do.

Thanks Coach for a big couple of weeks. We’re stacking them now! 🫶🏼

This is what I’ll remember from the weekend:

🌟Starting Saturday in 4th after a bit of a mare in Event 2 - fighting my nerves walking out to the kiosk with PJ while trying to steady myself for the climb
🌟Finishing Saturday in the leader’s jersey, knowing Sunday would be a true battle with @_sarabellis_. Enjoying dinner with 3 of my favourite people
🌟Lunging toward the crew to win Event 3, feeling the momentum of a team in a sport that’s far from individual. Could even hear @jenkkinsella from all the way back in Auckland
🌟Choosing to go unbroken on Event 6 and trusting the work, even when I wasn’t sure it was the right call.
🌟Cleaning 100kg on the comp floor for the first time. The session felt just like our Fridays with @richiepatterson_weightlifting

🥈2nd place… and it was tight! It was honest. And I’m grateful for the bits that went right and the bits that went wrong and for the women who show up to really race - thank you for bringing the best out of me.

Tars, this has been my body’s toughest season, and you’ve met it with patience, skill and care. Thank you.

PJ, everyone in the corrals is so quick to tell me how lucky I am to have you. You epitomise coaching done right: no drama, no unnecessary noise - just clarity, athlete-centric care, and a deep respect and understanding of what motivates me. Grateful on the daily 🙏🏼

Proud of this chapter. Hungry for the next one. Thankful for the reset, the support, and the chance to keep building. 🤍

⭐️2024: qualified in 7th
⭐️2025: unofficially qualified in 1st

In 2023 my word was resilience. Last year’s word was freedom. This year’s word is dangerous ❤️‍🔥

Can’t WAIT to head back to Wollongong for @downunderchampionship in October! 👏🏼

(Also managed to scrape into @nzcfchamps Elite in the same week after convincing Coach I could run the qualifiers casual AF… iykyk… this is a new skill for me 🤣🤮)

Sometimes, the training week doesn’t go our way. Lifts feel dirty, heart rate is a fight. Have faith in yourself and your team. Because at first it hurts - then it changes you. 🔥
