In the lift with: Archie from Rawside

If you've spent time at Fora, chances are you've experienced Rawside's work without even realising it.

We spoke to Archie about his favourite pieces, the thinking behind them, and his hope that, whether people notice them or not, they can feel the care, craft and consideration behind every detail.

Situated in the historic heart of London’s watchmaking district, our recent project on St John Street breathes new life into a tired, post-modern building. In collaboration with @kennedytwaddle , we undertook a comprehensive internal and external transformation to restore the structure’s relevance and character.

The material palette carefully balances industrial pragmatism—nodding to the precision of the area’s historic craft—with warm, modern finishes, creating an inspiring, high-end environment.

Sometimes the best innovation is the one you barely notice.

The Betty table by @rawside proves that simplicity can be powerful. Its clean design and thoughtfully substantial legs hide cable management seamlessly, so your workspace stays uncluttered without sacrificing style or practicality. Betty doesn’t overwhelm with gimmicks, she gives teams exactly what they need for collaboration or focused work, letting the space do the talking. It’s the kind of table that elevates a room quietly, making every meeting or project feel effortless.

If your office is craving smart design that works behind the scenes so your team can shine upfront, Pattrn can help you bring functional elegance into your space. ✨Showroom Visits✨ Such a nice project stage to be embarking on, choosing furniture pieces to make this space complete.

Thanks to @fact.consultancy for an excellent day’s viewing, and a very good steps day stomping around Clerkenwell together 😊

This highly sustainability focused project will predominantly re-use the clients existing furniture, however a small number of new items are needed. Therefore, @fact.consultancy have worked hard to identify manufacturers who are producing pieces that have strong eco and circularity credentials and stories for us to view.

Yard works - London. Rough brick and plaster finishes give way to cleaner drylining as the building rises, showing contrast between the initial construction and the later upward extension in the 80s. We made an early decision to minimise both the removal of existing finishes and the introduction of new ones where possible

A sequence of framed openings draws the eye through the depth of the workspace, where U.K. based furniture makers @rawside desks and @jasper.morrison’s Hal Re swivel chairs for @vitra feature with cardboard-coloured recycled polypropylene shells establishing a calm, ordered rhythm.

The architecture holds a warm, muted palette—walls in gentle putty tones, pale timber floors, against which artworks in vivid reds and yellows offer moments of quiet punctuation. Greenery, placed with restraint, softens the geometry and brings a living texture to the interior. At the perimeter, black-framed windows ground the space, their industrial grid framing views of cascading foliage beyond.

Sunlight filters in, shifting across the surfaces and lending a sense of time to the day’s work. There is a balance here between openness and enclosure, light and solidity, creating an environment attuned to focus yet warmed by human presence. A workspace designed not only for productivity but for the quiet pleasure of occupying it.

Storey | Broadgate Tower

The Storey fit out for British Land is situated on the 10th floor of the Broadgate Tower. The scheme comprises of 6 individual private lettable office spaces and a centralised shared amenity space with panoramic views of the London city skyline throughout. A key goal was to provide clean paired back office spaces allowing tenant customisation to personalise their spaces with a connected shared amenity lounge, which was conceived with a heavy focus on sustainable natural, recycled and recyclable materials with integrated biophilia to establish a calm and inviting atmosphere for all.

To enhance the shared spaces further we collaborated with @shoreditchartsart to provide some characterful artwork by British artist @davidtremlett

Storey | Broadgate Tower

We’re delighted to share our recently completed fit-out for British Land’s @thisisstorey, situated on the 10th floor of the iconic Broadgate Tower. The completed project provides a refined, plug-and-play environment for emerging businesses in one of London’s most prestigious locations, reinforcing Storey’s position at the forefront of the flexible workspace sector.

The scheme comprises six individual private lettable office spaces and a centralised shared amenity space, offering panoramic views across London’s spectacular skyline. This thoughtfully designed environment caters perfectly to small businesses seeking their first dedicated workspace beyond co-working environments. Our close collaboration with British Land allowed us to develop a workplace strategy that directly addresses previous challenges while maximising letting flexibility – delivering a solution that’s both commercially astute and exceptionally well-designed.

Sustainability sits at the heart of this project, with a carefully curated palette of natural, recycled and recyclable materials. Integrated biophilia further enhances the calm, inviting atmosphere throughout.

We're delighted to share our recently completed collab with @bgy_id! The @thisisstorey fit-out for @britishlandplc, situated on the 10th floor of the iconic Broadgate Tower.

Sustainability sits at the heart of this project, with a carefully curated palette of natural, recycled and recyclable materials. From acoustic panels crafted from 60% recycled plastic bottles to carbon-negative cork flooring and clay plaster containing 72-75% recycled content, every element has been meticulously selected to minimise environmental impact while creating a sophisticated aesthetic. Integrated biophilia further enhances the calm, inviting atmosphere throughout.
