Collaborative, experienced, trauma-informed eating disorder and EMDR therapy. Fat positive and gender affirming care. Dallas, TX

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As holistic and embodied practioners sometimes we get questions regarding what does that mean to be holistic?

And to us it means no diet culture bs and a 360 degree view of your life. We take into consideration during your care: your lived experiences, systemic racism and oppression, physical, emotion, and spiritual wellbeing.

We believe there are many paths to healing and are collaborative providers and achieve this though strong collaboration with additional providers throughout the community based on your individualized needs which could include: a psychiatrist, eating disorder dietitians, trauma specialists, yoga therapists, acupuncture, 12-step recovery programs, and other referrals as needed. If you have an eating disorder a team approach including a registered dietitian is best practices.

There is no one size fits all to healing so schedule with clinicians to who know how to customize to your unique needs 💫

So excited to announce that we are now 🎉IN-NETWORK🎉 with Ambetter!
.
.
Amy W & Ashley are both officially in-network as of June 1st, and we anticipate to get this same news for Nikki, Sammy, and Amy M very soon as well 🥰.
.
.
Seeds Nutrition Counseling is passionately committed to providing access to high-quality, affordable, highly specialized, and compassionate care to as many folx as we possibly can. It has taken almost 10 months to get this contract processed and finalized, but we are so grateful to @ambetterhealth for valuing their customers enough to provide them these options for care that is desperately needed in our community 💜🙏.
.
.
We hope to continue to further increase access to care for those with eating disorders, and the fight certainly doesn't stop here. 💪.
.
.
We continue to push for ⚠️ @bswhealth insurance to cover Medical Nutrition Therapy services for people with eating disorders, but they have held a firm position when it comes to underpaying dietitians, agreeing to cover a patient's care and then not paying out on their claims (which means they put their patients in position to pay out-of-pocket for services they were told would be covered), and refusing to provide their customers with adequate access to eating disorder care. 🥺 It is truly heartbreaking for their customers and the many people who reach out to us with their insurance plan. 💔.
.
.
We will continue to fight and try to find more ways to make services accessible to those who need it. We see you, and we want you to know we are working hard for you to get the care you need! 💜💙💚.

Raychel Yearsley lpc, ryt @raychelyearsleylpc is our badass non diet eating disorder therapist who happens to be a creative and ennegram 4 and EMDR trained.

We'd be a good fit if...You are ready to do some work to change the way you think about yourself and treat yourself.

You are open to trying some new things and being (mostly gently) challenged.

You desire more gratitude and acceptance in your life, or at the very least, neutrality.

You want to do all of that with a sense of humor and some serious moments sprinkled in between.
You want to experience the magic of yoga and meditation to help you with just "being."

You desire a life with boundaries around work so you can continue to explore your passions.

You believe in a life well-lived and know that living to work is not the best definition of that

Curiosity is a powerful mindfulness tool that allows us to create a little space in order to notice and build attunement with what our internal states are.

Try it! Perhaps you verging to notice your breathing and explore with curiosity what your breath feels like without judgment or critique.

What was that like for you? Using curiosity to explore the answer, no judgment simply curiosity of huh that felt different or challenging or new.

Somatic and Yoga approaches allow us to practice this tool and skill using our body as a way to foster curiosity

💊 Would you be okay with being prescribed a medication for headaches or joint pain that had about a 5% efficacy rate & also came with a lengthy potential side effects that can be life-limiting and/or significantly decrease your overall quality of life? 🤔.
