Another wonderful Shanti day at the gorgeous Riverside in Hout Bay. Here are a few moments during my day - we were blessed with perfect weather. I was honoured to lead a meditation down at the river under the trees - so lovely to hear the leaves blowing in the breeze, happy festival goers sounds and Rayelle violin from tree shaded riverside space. And to have my school friends visit was such fun! I also introduced Dorothee and my healing acupressure beds to every one - wonderful to see every one's reaction. I am so grateful to all the phenomenal facilitators that came and shared their incredible talents and knowledge with us at Shanti. My biggest regret is always being in the organising side I don't always have the capacity to also attend their wonderful offerings. So much gratitude to Dani, Harry and Frank and all the other phenomenal people who lmake this magical day happen 🤍🤍🤍

We love great music! Meet our live music - Rayelle Goodman 💫💃💛✨🎵🎶

Rayelle Goodman has been playing violin since she was 4. Music has always featured at the centre of her
life; from playing concerts and eisteddfods as a child, to studying further at the University of Cape Town's
College of Music.
Rayelle was the original violinist in South African bands Freshlyground and Coda and has collaborated
with an array of artists including Pieter-Dirk Uys, Josh Groban, Shawn Phillips, The Crash Test Dummies,
Jennifer Ferguson, Prime Circle, Neo Muyanga, Robin Auld and many others.
Rayelle is equally comfortable on stage, in the pit, or in studio and has extensive experience in many
genres, from classical, jazz, popular, musical theatre, folk, Celtic, Yiddish, African, goema, rock, electronic
to improvised music. Her impressive C.V. includes gigs on cruise ships, corporates, television and radio
appearances, orchestras, national and international festivals. She has recorded extensively in studio,
collaborated with a huge array of artists, arranged strings, recorded an international movie soundtrack,
performed in music videos, accompanied choirs, taught students and sung backing vocals. She currently
performs regularly with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and other orchestras and offers many other diverse performances for various events.

Grateful for the incredible experience of sharing the concert stage and desk with @cinnamonstrings @rayelleyoga . She’s not just an amazing desk partner but also a wonderful person. If I could choose my desk partner every day, it would definitely be her! 🎻🎶 #MusicalBond #amazingperson

Wow, wow, wow!! We all had a 'super' time at Milnerton Aquatic Club with Robin Auld , Rayelle Goodman & Rob Hack on Sat night . Super music , we were all absolutely blown away. Rayelle performs with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, so we were privileged to hear her perform at MAC. Top class violinist!
Catch Rob Hack at The Pepper Tree Restuarant in Philedelphia every Sunday.

This is why I love what I do....

Never mind that @rayelleyoga is a gorgeous woman... She has her style , and her whole being just levels up when she "dresses."

She plays her violin with passion, melancholy, and joy. On stage, at weddings, at orchestra productions...her outfits have to meet certain criteria when all eyes are on her.

I am always so thrilled to see my clients , they come with ideas of what they need, an outfit is required, or sometimes it's just to try on a pair of jeans . Either way, when you "dress " in my studio....you will find something unique, pretty , dashing .
I will make sure you leave feeling confident in how you are going to wear your selected garments best for your body shape.

My studio is open . Please make an appointment to pop in.

Love Jules xx

I'd flex too if I looked this smokin ...

@cinnamonstrings , as my second customer in my new studio....you rocked all the frocks today girl !

Rayelle is a talented performer of the violin . She is invited to attend many functions and play at opening events.

The outfits need to be of superb quality, look dramatic on stage and should be easy to play in.

In fact; the beauty in mauve is for a special family wedding.

The black & blue colour block dress fits like a dream too ...ya, @josephribkoff knows the female form.

You have such classic style and suit dress up !
Come play again soon, honey child

Love Jules xx

~FRIDAY FEATURE~

I matriculated from St. Cyprian's in 1998 when wonderful Tessa Fairbairn was principal. I was an active musician throughout my school years, but not sporty. A long time and much life experience later, in 2019 to be exact, I finally got around to committing to something like physical exercise. That led me to yoga and I steadily became hooked on the practice of vinyasa yoga (flowing sequences) around Cape Town. Then lockdown happened and I had the unexpected opportunity to do a month's teacher training, and became a qualified teacher in November 2020. Although I hadn't planned to teach, I started anyway, and haven't looked back. Since then, I have taught regular studio and private classes, regular classes at addiction rehabilitation centres and at my own home studio. What's amazing about yoga (besides inadvertently developing a physique I didn't know I could have) is the consistent integration of body, mind and spirit. I always feel way more grounded and rejuvenated after a class. There's also a sense of community, and through the practice I have learned about acceptance, humility and compassion, both for myself and others. My advice to younger generations is allow yourself to be open to possibility (you don't even have to have an overview, goal or rational understanding) - one accurate, authentic step taken can lead to many more and places you didn't dare dream of reaching!
I can be reached through email: cinnamonstrings@gmail.com or via DM. I am available as both yoga teacher and professional violinist and open to chatting about your needs. On Instagram I can be found @rayelleyoga and @cinnamonstrings.
Blessings to you. ❤💫
