Putting the work in behind the scenes 💪

I’ve been working closely with my physio to improve my movement, strength and overall performance — and wanted to give you guys a little insight into what that looks like.

Big shoutout to @rayperformance_therapy for the knowledge, time and work that goes into keeping me moving at my best. 🫡

If you’re serious about your training, don’t overlook the importance of looking after your body. 🤝

Big shoutout to @rayperformance_therapy last Monday I started having pain in my left quad after running , went on running on it till Thursday when by then the pain got too bad to run , so for the first time I had to cut a run short , I couldn’t even walk for 2 days , think I tore a ligament in my quad . Went to see #rayperformancetherapy on Monday , had a deep tissue sports massage , muscle scraping and cupping , what a legend this guy is , so professional and highly educated about muscles and sports injuries , at times it hurt like fu** but I knew by his knowledge I was in safe hands , after the pain was much more tolerable and I could walk again with less of a limp , a day after and I can already feel my legs on the mend , and hopefully I’ll be able to race at London big half in 2 weeks , can’t thank and recommend this guy enough ! If you have any sports injuries , or just want a reset before or after a race , done hesitate to book this guy ! Thanks again bro 🙏🏼💙 #sportsmassageinleeds #runninginjury #sportsmassge #cuppingtherapy

If you’re not getting regular sports massages and you’re a body builder, you’re leaving cards on the table!👀

We all know that sports massages are great for recovery! But did you know they help your posing too?!🤷🏼‍♀️

If the muscles are tight, you might physically not be able to hit your poses properly!🫣
- struggling to lat spread?
- can’t fully rotate into your side poses?
- struggling to engage the delts?

If you’ve been practicing everything your posing coach recommends, and working on your mobility, the likelihood is you need a sports massage!🫶🏼

A sports massage will help:
✨ reduce muscle tightness
✨ improve your posture to showcase your physique properly
✨ increase mobility

Posing well is difficult. Posing well with restrictions such as muscle tightness, poor posture, and limited mobility is a recipe for disaster!😩

For any of you based around Leeds, I can’t recommend Ray enough for a sports massage - @rayperformance_therapy ! He does exactly what needs to be done to allow me to pose my best every single time!🫶🏼

Save this as your reminder to book your sports massage!✨

What are you doing if you are doing anythng...?

Recovery... First who is doing it? If you are well done and what are you doing?

I have pushed my body so hard for 18months in and out the gym that it has caught up with me! Getting out of bed, putting socks on without help, using my hands without shooting pains, walking , moving around without pain seems like a long time ago 🥴

I pulled the plug, went to @rayperformance_therapy with a very long list of daily problems and we agreed on tackling as priority:
>My sciatica 😭
>The tightest hips ever
>Lower back pain
>Quads like concrete(the worst 😬)
>Abductors that didn't move
>Pirformus that didn't go beyond 90°

Let me say and ill be honest..he made me screaming in agony doing the work, I've never had work dome that was so painful to go through. I was glad it was over. 🙏

However I woke up like a new man besides the soreness.

Idon'tt shout people out but Ray took away pain overnight. Can'ttwait forr my upper body session this week 🫣😬

I promised myself to not let it go again and get to that point of unbearable daily pain

Check him out =ex GB athlete so not only knows his stuff but has been through it

𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟏𝟐 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 & 𝐑𝐓𝐓𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

I have enjoyed every run and every strength session this week which makes a huge difference to last week when I was questioning wether I should pull out of the ultra and just focus on the marathon but after preserving and having a great 36 miles run on Friday I am ready to give this my best shot and do what I can! I am 8 weeks out from London marathon and I am so excited to run my first World Majors Marathons and earn my first star

Strength sessions this week have been so strong, focused more on protein intake and I feel it’s made a difference. Pushing on legs is hard when they feel fatigued but upper body feels good

Oh and springs arrived 💐☀️🌸🌞🌷
