Cafe Augustine might be the prettiest coffee shop in the Bay Area.

Looking for the best coffee in Santana Row, San Jose? It’s the casual side of Augustine, with marble, chandeliers, and blue velvet, from the team behind The Village Pub in Woodside. I got an iced almond milk macchiato and the salmon tartine, sat inside, and the staff made the whole stop feel easy. There’s patio seating too, and the parking is steps from the door, which almost never happens at Santana Row.

After helping 200+ families buy and sell homes, real estate can still throw you a curveball. 😮‍💨

Not every sale is easy. Not every transaction follows the same playbook.

We originally met when they purchased a home from one of our sellers. The home needed A LOT of love. Fast forward a few months they completely transformed it and trusted us to bring it back to market.

We thought, this one should be easy.

The universe said, “Cute. Try again.” 😂

In less than 4 weeks, we went through THREE cancellations. The appraisal came in significantly below value despite supporting comps. Then 2 Buyers got cold feet. None of it was something we could control.

But what we could control was how we responded.

We kept marketing. Kept communicating. Kept advocating for our seller. Kept putting the deal back together.

And finally… we found our buyer. 🙌🏽

This transaction was a reminder that a great agent isn’t just there when everything goes according to plan. It’s how you navigate the curveballs, protect your client, pivot when necessary, and keep moving toward the finish line.

200+ homes later, and I’m still learning something from every single transaction. Thank you to our sellers for trusting us with this beauty.
