🔥 JACKSON ST. | WEEK 5

Day 1 → Now

3 of 4 units are officially renovated. 🔨

New kitchens. New bathrooms. New floors. New everything.

Not bad for 5 weeks…

The final unit will get its transformation once our tenant moves out in May. We’ll start marketing the units for rent this weekend, with the finishing touches on the exterior coming early next week.

Couldn’t be happier with how these turned out. Now it’s time to get them rented and welcome some new tenants. 🏠

Tons of progress this week! Our LVP flooring is in thanks to @raysflooringsc , and these units are really starting to come together. 👀

We’re getting close to the finish line on the interiors of all 3 units. Can’t wait to see these spaces fully transformed!

My name is Jonathan, so everyone asks: “Who is Ray?”
⁣
Ray was my business partner’s father-in-law back in 2010.
⁣
I’d just gone broke in my family business after the 2008 financial crisis.
⁣
I was working a job for $10/hr, installing floors on weekends and days off.
⁣
We started contracting for a big retailer through a third party.
⁣
When that retailer launched its own installation program, our non-compete with the third party forced us to start fresh.
⁣
We named the new company Rays Flooring after him.
⁣
In 2015 I moved to Charleston to grow it.
⁣
My partner stayed in Augusta to open a retail store.
⁣
I kept the contract — and the name came with it.
⁣
So Ray’s not a myth. He’s family. And the name reminds me where we started.
