🎤 How Do You Feel About Where You Are Right Now?

I’ve never been more curious about how people truly perceive themselves and their lives.

Over the past year, I’ve traveled the world, meeting people from all walks of life. And one thing stands out—stress and anxiety are at an all-time high. More people than ever feel overwhelmed, stuck, or lost, and it’s affecting the quality of their lives.

For much of my life, I lived in a fight-or-flight response—constantly on high alert without even realizing it… and without needing to be. I now see this pattern started in childhood. Self-doubt crept in and became my dominant way of being.

Last year, I heard the word anxiogenic—a society where anxiety fuels our lives. That struck a deep chord. Because I knew that was often me! We live in a world that constantly stimulates anxiety—worry, comparison, and uncertainty. And if we’re not careful, we get consumed by it.

Ironically, the period where I felt the highest level of anxiety was through the illness and loss of my parents, and most painfully, my wife. This stopped me in my tracks. It forced me to look deeply at myself—my thoughts, my emotions, and the way I was living.

But through this devastating loss, I discovered something profound: a deep awareness of my existence and purpose.

Losing the people I loved most made me realize how much of my life had been spent simply surviving. It exposed the unconscious thoughts and emotions that were keeping me stuck in a reactive, fear-driven state. And strangely enough, out of devastation came an unexpected gift:

I now understand the power of intentionality.

Over the last few years, I’ve been working closely with my friend and colleague, @raysylvester . He speaks of intentionality in a way that deeply resonates with me—one that acknowledges our human tendency to survive but encourages us to thrive.

Dr. Ray says:
“Every day we wake up, we have a choice—to embrace intentional thinking informed by a ‘fight or flight’ response just to survive, or to cultivate intentional thinking that leads to peace, calm, and rest, allowing us to truly thrive.”

UK government will form answers for these atrocities against disabled people…. I wonder what they are goong to say and I’m asking if they will turn up, or ask for another extension… i wonder if they are allowed. I wonder if they dare this time? Today Disabled Comrades took to the capitals streets and so we should and will and can and intend to develop and look forward to ……furthering the voice, choice and equality of all people 👊🏻💜
