THAT'S A WRAP ON CRD SUMMER TERM 2026! 🛼💃

OH. MY. GOD. Last week everyone was sooooo incredible! This term I've focused a lot on slow set moves and boy, it shows! 🥵

Proud is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel about all my dippers and slow walkers who've emerged from this term.
Trying to be spicy and smooth whilst on rollerskates is no easy thing. Many of us don't inherently feel sexy while dancing, especially when surrounded by floor to length mirrors.
I'm eternally humbled by our wonderful class who have shown up, embraced feeling a bit awkward, and ran with it anyway.
And the best bit? IT PAID OFF! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Drop some 🔥 below to appreciate how damn hot all these skaters look, just by being confident and throwing themselves into it 👏

I love my job 🥹

Extra special thanks to @_melonwheels
for all her support this term, plus for always being prepared and filming excellent clips 🙏 (something I'm TERRIBLE at doing when teaching!)

Also to CRD OG coach @maggiederu who despite being on maternity leave, has still managed to keep all the back of house admin ticking over! 🫶

We're back tonight for one last skill share session to practice everything learnt this term, plus our FREE summer social event on Thursday... details on the @the.skate.scholarship website and socials 💋

🗣️ MONDAY: COMMUNITY ROLLER DANCE! 🛼💃
✨Slow set edition! (PART 2)✨

This week we'll be exploring all things around smooth, slow, flow and starting to level up our confidence around all my favourite spicy moves 🌶️

We'll be recapping dips, breaking down front dips and covering the slow walk!
I'll also help you find dynamics in the slow, steady movements so you can learn to play around and come up with your own slow set combos. 🔥

My last two sessions we broke down infinity swirls and then progressed them into dips, so I'm very excited to build on this even more 👀

Beginners welcome! However we recommend that you can already skate forwards, roll backwards, stop, and stand on the spot. 🛼

🗣️TONIGHT: COMMUNITY ROLLER DANCE! 🛼💃
✨Slow set edition!✨

These guys didn't have to ask me twice when they requested a full lesson based on my favourite part of any roller disco! 🌶️

This week we'll be exploring all things around smooth, slow, flow!
I'll be breaking down dips, wheel to floor contact, how to travel around the rink like water and getting your moves buttery smooth and flowing into one another. 🔥

Last session we broke down infinity swirls and laid the foundations for dipping, so expect more of that vibe this evening 👀

Beginners welcome! However we recommend that you can already skate forwards, roll backwards, stop, and stand on the spot. 🛼
