Give new purpose to invasive plants and discover the craft potential hidden in wild fibers.

Our hands-on papermaking workshop is happening next weekend, and it’s your chance to learn how to turn pampas grass, mimosa, and giant reed into richly textured, eco-conscious paper.

Across 4 immersive hours, designer Souad Ghaffari will guide you through pulping, pressing, and shaping natural fibers while introducing principles of circular design and creative sustainability.

If you are curious about biomaterials, love working with your hands, or want to experiment with low-impact making, this session is for you.

If your sketches don’t like limits, meet the handcrafted accordion notebook. The cover is made from invasive Cana fibers, and the 90-120gsm pages are recycled white paper mixed with Cana fibers for extra texture.

To make EVT notebooks extra special, we collaborated with Sandrine, a French professional book restorer and artisan based in Évora through her @latelier.evora 💗

This coffret-notebrook set is available at our website extravirginthoughts.com and at our Etsy shop (link in bio) or via DM 💫

Seeing my olive-leaf paper transformed by a skilled artisan into beautiful coffrets is a reminder of how much stronger our creations become when we trust one another’s hands. Their craftsmanship didn’t just complement my work; it elevated it. 🔥

Grateful for the exchange, the shared passion, and the kind of collaboration that honors both materials and makers.
Make sure you check her own stationery collection at her lovely atelier once you're in town. 🌿

This notebook didn’t start with a final design.
It started with a question: What can I create from what’s already around me?

Step by step, it grew.
With little money and small resources and a lot of passion, I started sourcing materials locally (some literally from next door) experimenting with textures, colors, and techniques. Every decision was guided by the process itself, not by a fixed plan. I let the notebook find its own form.

The cover is made from discarded natural materials, transformed through traditional know-how and patient experimentation. It’s tactile, sturdy, and designed to be refillable, so it can stay with you for years.

For me, this is more than just a notebook. It’s a small example of how design can grow slowly, respectfully, and sustainably, with every stage adding its own layer of meaning.

If you’d like one to make your own story on its pages, DM me for purchase 🌿✏️
