📚 MATCHY MATCH STACK 📚

Another month, another set of nails, and another Matchy Match stack. But this one is SUPER special, because this time I teamed up with my girl, my soul sister, @darkwitch.reads!! 💚

She chose my nails, and I chose hers. And we both went out of our comfort zones… ish. The one rule we immediately agreed on was NO PINK. 🤣 Without planning it, we ended up choosing the same colour scheme! Her colour 🖤 and mine 💚, and my gods, they make the most beautiful combination. Definitely an absolute favourite of mine. 💚🌖🖤

Although, looking at the books, I am seriously SLACKING on the greens. Help a girl out! Give me your best green book recs, and yes, I mean physically green. 😂 I absolutely will buy books for the colour. Are you even surprised?

Thank you so much for doing this one with me, my love. 💚 At this point, I think you need to pick my nails every month. AND please go check out her post too!! Her nails and stack are BANGIN!!

Tagging more of you for more Matchy Matchies!

Love,
Vamps 💚

September 🌸

This month I read 13 books and I DNFd 1!

Highlights of September:
🌸 Most of my September was spent working, painting, and setting up my new shop for my business! It was exhausting, overwhelming, and something I’m extremely proud of!
🌸 I rebricked my Friends central perk set and framed it! I’m so happy it won’t get dusty!
🌸 I began my dangerous obsession with the Kubo Angels Poem blind boxes 🫣
🌸 My kids went to their grandmothers so I worked my ass off on opening week of my new shop 😴
🌸 My bestest girl @readswith.erin came over and we had a lovely dinner with my husband while we watched The Love Hypothesis together. Her phone memories came up while we were watching and I was in all of them *does hair flick*
🌸 I may have purchased more books than I read…but that’s fineeeee
🌸 I was visited by my nephew, and my cousins. It was lovely!
🌸 Went and saw Practical Magic 2 for bookclub…and totally forgot to talk about the book 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣
🌸 Took my family back to the very small town I grew up in! It was lovely to show them around, remember fond memories, and introduce them to people that were massive parts of my first 18 years!

Very much looking forward to October, spooky season, and more sunny days!!!

bit late to the party on this, but thank you to @erins_readingspace for the tag on this one 🫶🏼

I loved Erin’s slightly different take on the headings so I’ve done the same - focusing on the ones I love rather than the negatives!

as always have tagged a few for fun, otherwise if you see this give it a go! 🥰🖤🫶🏼

August ❄️

This month I read 23 books and I DNFd 3!

Highlights of August:
❄️ Visited my girl @readwith.kay to celebrate her birthday. Had a great night of laughs and joy with Kayla, @readswith.erin, and @hanas_little_library
❄️ Went to check out the @goodgirlsreadbookstore in Geelong with my love @casey_readss - the photo is her standing next to the book boyfriend height chart
❄️ All the Daffodils started blooming which is always my favourite thing!
❄️ I finished crocheting my flower blanket! It was such a huge achievement and I’m so bloody proud of me!
❄️ Made some crochet bookmarks for my friends for bookclub!!
❄️ Celebrated this month’s Shelf Care Club in my home with painting and other crafts! Was wonderful to see all my girls!
❄️ Enjoyed some of our first warm days with my dogs and kids in the sunshine
❄️ Painted my first book spine!
❄️ Celebrated my baby boys 7th birthday!!!
❄️ Went to the prelim finals, Dymocks, and popmart with my @readswith.erin - was such a fun night!
❄️ Spent the night with my bestie E and her growing baby bump 🥹 I am going to spoil the crap out of this baby with love and presents
❄️ Went to the zoo with @getbookedwithsez and @casey_readss - my favourite fact from the day was that a groups of lemurs is called a conspiracy!

I also wanted to mention this month was a year since I lost one of my favourite people in this world to an absolutely HORRIBLE disease. MND is horrible and watching it take away the brightest most spectacular human was horrible. I will miss you always Jane 🩷

This month we decided to ‘Judge a book by its cover’ and only chose books we thought were pretty but we hadn’t read the blurbs of! Then we played ‘Spin the Bottle’ to see what book was the last one standing!! #bookclub #shelfcareclub #spinthebottle #judgingabookbyotscover #prettybooks

June ❄️

This month I read 19 books and I DNFd 1!

June was for weekends away, dates with friends, crocheting flowers, patting cats, and lots of love. Life continues to always throw curve balls at us all and I have a feeling July onwards is about to be the hardest 3 months I’ve had in a very long time because I’ll be facing my ✨mental health issues✨ but the support system I have at home, in my friends, and on this silly little app give me faith I can do it!!

Highlights of June:
❄️ Weekend away with Tom to watch him compete in Table Tennis and sitting in a hotel room with books and yarn for 3 days. Helped that I got to visit both @readwith.kay & @emysreadingcorner on the way!!!
❄️ Finally got my bridgerton books I’ve been waiting a year for!!!! I’m OBSESSED!
❄️ Got to see @sarah.a.parker.author and meet a real life (cardboard) Kaan! Was such a fun and meaningful night with @jezz.readss & @ajn_art - I also made a new friend in @annieish_delights which has been such a joy!!!
❄️ Went to the cashmere cat cafe for shelf care club this month! I’m looking at building my own at home but Tom won’t let me get more cats 😭
❄️ Had a cute little book swap with my girls @emysreadingcorner @agirlofpagesandthreads & @belindasbookshelf - Belinda got me the cutest books!!!
❄️ Went to probably the BEST game of ice hockey I’ve seen so far with @readswith.erin & @emysreadingcorner - it was SO SO GOOD!!!
