Had so much fun spending time with book friends at the @a_bookish_summer_soiree !! Big thanks to @authornicolejkimzey and @alyssamikellemusic . As well as @storyhooked for the awesome prizes! Had a great time at the book bedazzling class that by the wonderful @lexislimitlesslibrary and @author_jentryflint !! There was so many fun people and authors there. Sorry I didn't get a picture with everyone! And didn't have room to tag everyone

These women do that for me and I was so lucky to get to spend some time with them lately.

We even got our kids together and guys it was the most amazing thing to watch our girls just click.

Our love of books brought us together and I couldn’t feel more blessed.

Y'ALL! What a fantastic weekend at @a_bookish_summer_soiree! I had the best time meeting amazing authors and friends!

So many wonderful moments. Here are just a few favorites!
✨Having @aliciasalwaysreading in town was an absolute dream! Get yourself a friend like Alicia!
✨Connecting with new friends for the first time IRL! It was so great to put faces to names and connect over these fantastic books!
✨Chatting with @asian_bibliophile in several lines. We are bookish soul sisters!
✨Reconnecting with @kelstoreads after years! We knew each other in college and reconnecting over amazing books has been the best!
✨Pre-soiree party hosted by @reads.alotl.books. Megan is amazing and I am so glad to have connected with her and so many others!
✨Basically obsessed with my new bookworm sweatshirt - @storyhooked put together an amazing collection of prizes and she was so sweet!
✨Definitely brought a suitcase full of books to be signed. So many of these authors were first time meets for me, and I was thrilled!!

✨Meeting so many authors for the first time! A few favorite moments:
⭐my first hug from @savannahscott_author,
⭐nerding out about Tristan with @nicholevan,
⭐all my Appies books by @jennyproctorbooks are now signed!
⭐chatting with @authorkarenthornell about multi author series and book covers,
⭐@authorkaseystockton signing a sticker for my book that came late (Amazon failed me), ⭐@authorjenatkinson and @authorgracieruth having the books I hoped they would to buy at the soiree, ⭐buying @authorjoannabarker's To Charm a Lady and finishing it within days of the event,
⭐meeting @sian_bessey for the first time (I'm such a fan!),
⭐@authordanalecheminant signing extra book plates to put in her other books at home,
⭐@writerjulianne graciously signing my books and listening to me rave about Edenbrooke when she was trying to duck out early,
⭐and @juliechristiansonauthor remembering me from a previous event and being so kind! You made, my day, Julie!

What a fantastic weekend! Book people are the best people ❤️

Last weekend was exactly what my soul needed: a little break from mothering, meeting online friends IRL (as @melissalarkauthor said—“wow, you’re a real person! You weren’t catfishing me! 😂), and just being in the same space as people who love the books I do. I was on a high the whole dang weekend. Straight shot of serotonin! I feel reenergized and just so blessed! My heart is full—and I didn’t even get a catch to talk to all the people I would’ve loved to talk to.

I’m pretty sure I say this after every event I go to, but seriously, if you can get yourself to an event, DO IT!!! Book people are the best people, and your heart will be so happy.

Bacon Pancakes by @elisehaynesbooks

We fell in love with this love story. The way others can lift you up while your world is crumbling, brings peace and hope. Finding the little joys. Noticing the little moments and it really helps when a genuinely wonderful guy has fallen for you. 😉

This is Book 2 in her Rumors of Cape Georgeana series. Book one Enemies to Lobsters is also top notch and book Three, Forest Proximity, is releasing June 4th! Right around the corner!

@swoony_reads_society absolutely loved reading Carrie Cotten’s epic adventure The Huntress in April!

Carrie’s writing immersed us in this gritty medieval historical world and brought these beautiful, complex characters to life. We loved the themes of redemption, hope, sacrifice, and love that were interwoven throughout the story.

Thank you to @authorcarriecotten for joining @swoony_reads_society for our monthly chat. We loved discussing this beautiful book with you.

Book Friends: If you love audiobooks, you need to check this one out. It is amazing. The performances are amazing. If you love a good Scottish accent, this audiobook is for you.

••Winning Winnie’s Hand•• is a charming story by dear @authordeborahmhathaway. It captured our hearts with a wonderful blend of both humor and heart. It was just the right book to read for book club with @swoony_reads_society in the month of March.
