'Jabberwockiers' reviewed by @readingfatima

Interludes, however melodious they might be, remain devoid of meaning when they stand on their own. They lack individual identity. They are born to be parts of a song. That's when they hold their place with their influence getting it's due. Not only as a placeholder but as a bridge between two eventful stanzas. That's how interludes act in life.

-Rajessh Iyer

'Jabberwockiers' is a poignant story of a father and his daughter filled with jabberwockies, laughter and a labyrinth of grim reality. Jabberwockies as the author repeats is a playful exchange of babble. The father Sid and his daughter Samyu are the jabberwockiers in the book who've been conversing in their unique gibberish since the time Samyu was in her mother's womb and as she turns older their babble turns into a language which only the two of them understand, even wife and mom Kavita has no clue of their sweet communication.

Everything seems perfect in their small world until on Samyu's first birthday party, one of their couple friends creates a scene and Sid, like any well-wisher friend, decides to call them up. That night Sid receives the greatest revelation of his life shaking the world beneath his feet.

Sid now has to live each day fighting with the world and himself to prove that 'Blood is not thicker than water'. The beautiful bond and the 'Aww' moments of the father-daughter duo is what keeps you hooked to the book.

Thank you @rajesshmiyer for this lovely book. The emotions in the book makes one understand the helplessness of a kind person in pure love.

2021 has been tough. Emotionally and physically. And one of many things that have been badly affected this year is my book reading habit. To my utter disappointment, this year I haven't read more than five books, I guess. Some books are still unfinished lying on my nightstand and waiting for me. And I'm sad about it.

But, the books I have read this year proved to be the best. And I can't share enough of my favorite lines from my most loved reads.

So here I'm sharing some favorite 2021 books quotes in collaboration with my book lovers friends. Don't forget to check the tagged accounts.

The first one is The Ten Thousand Doors Of January, a profound Read, a book written in gold. It's hard to choose just one or two favorite quotes from this one because I love each and every line of it. But here are two quotes;

📗 The Ten Thousand Doors Of January by ALIX E. HARROW

⭐" Let that be a lesson to you: If you are too good and too quiet for too long, it will cost you. It will always cost you, in the end."

⭐It’s a profoundly strange feeling, to stumble across someone whose desires are shaped so closely to your own, like reaching toward your reflection in a mirror and finding warm flesh under your fingertips. If you should ever be lucky enough to find that magical, fearful symmetry, I hope you’re brave enough to grab it with both hands and not let go.

The second one is ,

📗 The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

(A tale told by death)

⭐ I wanted to tell the book thief many things, about beauty and brutality. But what could I tell her about those things that she didn't already know? I wanted to explain that I am constantly overestimating and underestimating the human race-that rarely do I ever simply estimate it. I wanted to ask her how the same thing could be so ugly and so glorious, and its words and stories so damning and brilliant.

⭐ It kills me sometimes, how people die.

📗 Maham by @coffininconfetti

"I want to freeze the whole world, Sohaib. So that nobody dies and nobody really lives. I want to turn earth into an art piece, which speaks of life but is dead itself."

Comment and tell, which one did you like the most?

There are many others, but for quoting those I have to open the books and I'm too lazy for that, so that's all for now.
