thank you @mattsliterature for the tag in this challenge! and boy was it a challenge, I really had to get creative for a couple of these picks as I haven’t read them all (yet!)

📚 build my bookish sandwich with me📚

I was tagged in this super fun and creative challenge by @almost__a__reader 🥰 You know the drill by now; I’ve tagged a couple of book besties to tackle this challenge but if you see this, consider yourself tagged 🫵 If you do, tag me as I’d love to see it!

My bookish sandwich is inspired by my favourite sandwich, The Ham from Spazio Paradiso in Carlton North, Melbourne. Typically the challenge goes: the bread, ham, lettuce, cheese and condiments.

Tried not to repeat books but sometimes you just love what you love 😝

⭐️ See ya March and welcome April! ⭐️

I had a relatively good reading month and quite thoroughly enjoyed the books I picked. Obviously The Correspondent being the high light and Lost Lambs being the biggest disappointment (both reviews are on my page). I also can’t believe we went from less than 100 followers at the start of the month to 800 🥹🫶

Life has been quite busy as I was in the process of interviewing for a new job (which I got, yay and praise God! 🙌🏻). I’ve also taken on some leadership in church ministry which has been simultaneously challenging but also so illuminating to the grace of God. All this to say, I anticipate I am going to be a busy gal in April but I will try my best to stay engaged on here as I’ve loved getting to know everyone 🥹 I however will be trying to prioritise resting on the weekends as properly and switching off where I can.

I’m so grateful for all the suggestions on my earlier post about 5 star reads. So, I’ve added a couple into my April hopefuls (visuals inspired by the incredible @aburireads) as recommended by some book besties, including:

In the lead up to Easter, I have been listening to lots of worship music (kudos to my church team who pulled together a fire playlist). But apparently I’ve also been a yearning mood?? 💀 The duality of man I guess 😌

Oh Bunny! This book is one of my all time favourite horror stories! It's girlie, it's weird, it's gory and above all it's unpredictably unique.🐇

We're introduced to Samantha, a student who's enrolled in a very prestigious university. There are very obvious class differences between the students, lots of commentary on wealth and social status. Samatha however, is prone to being an outsider, she has very few friends other than her best friend and roommate, Ava, a fellow outsider.📚💕@readsbymol

Samatha is a scholarship student so she always feels at a disadvantage, especially in her creative writing workshop📖💕
