Do you buy sequels right away?

The lovely @melsbookishescape recently reminded me that I do have some sequels I wanted to buy and still havn‘t.

SHADES OF MAGIC SERIES ➡ THE FRAGILE THREADS OF POWER
I own the series in german Paperback and I don‘t want to mismatch

STRANGER TIMES SERIES ➡ RELIGHT MY FIRE
I was waiting for the paperback and never came around to it.

MISS PERCY‘S POCKET GUIDE TO THE CARE AND FEEDING OF BRITISH DRAGONS ➡ MISS PERCY‘S TRAVEL GUIDE TO WELSH MOORS AND FERAL DRAGONS
I have no excuse for this

A TEMPEST OF TEA ➡ A STEEPING OF BLOOD
I know it‘s not out yet but I have to get my hands on it

AN ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE THING ➡ A BEAUTIFULLY FOOLISH ENDEAVOR
Again, no excuse

I tagged a few of you if you want to join. I would love to see your answers.

Without a doubt, one of the highlights of the author experience is this fantastic Instagram community. There’s no better feeling for me after years of work on a book seeing it finally takeoff on Instagram. People put so much creativity and thought into their posts and I am so honored when they try to fit my piece of art into theirs. I just sent out a new batch of review copies, so a bunch of new posts are lighting up my notifications.

Thank you — so much — to everyone who has posted about AFTER. I am equally thankful for those that loved it and those that didn’t. because everyone has a slightly unique take, and it is such a thrill for me to discover new details/thoughts/theories that never even occurred to me in the first place. This is why I welcome bad reviews just as much as good ones. It’s all a learning process, and that is the most fun part for me.

If you are a reviewer on Instagram and have a following, send me a DM. I’ve got a few copies left I can send out!

📕Match Your Funkos To Your Unread Books📕

The magnificent @daniilovesyouu tagged me in this fun post, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to use some of my Stephen King related pop figures and combine it with some of the SK books that haven't made it off the TBR pile just yet.

Here we have...

IT
Doctor Sleep
The Stand
Revival
The Langoliers
Rose Madder

IT and Doctor Sleep will hopefully be done by the end of this year - but this is all building to a Stephen King related QOTD. What's your favourite and worst Stephen King book?

I'm going The Green Mile as my favourite...and least favourite - Sleeping Beauties.

I'll tag some legends, but if you have some Funkos and you want to show them off, say Al sent you.

My lovely friend @bookishdanie tagged me a bit ago in the past, present, future challenge 🎄❄️🎄❄️🎄❄️

Past. A book you loved: I tried to pick one I don’t talk about all the time. I loved Such a Pretty Smile by @kristimdemeester ! I highly recommend this one.

Present, current read: I’m not currently reading anything but I just got an ARC of A House with Good Bones and I want to read it now!

Future, a book I’m excited to read: I cannot wait for Don’t Fear the Reaper 😍 I am obsessed with Stephen Graham Jones!!

I’m pretty late to this and feel like everyone probably did it already but I’ll tag a few. No pressure and sorry if you already did it 😊

With the end of the year fast approaching, and Spotify releasing Wrapped 2022, I thought that it would be the perfect time for me to do the same, but with my reading year 📚 @maryamsbookcorner very kindly allowed me to take inspiration from her Books as Spotify Wrapped tag, and I put my own little twist on it. SCROLL to see my year wrapped, and I will also be making a more detailed video about my favorite books later on 💝

Actually that hashtag should be #teatoastandjustabouttostartreading but it doesn’t quite have the same ring to it 😂

What are you all currently reading? I need recos 😊

This is my first read by @riley.sager. I know there is a lot of love for him on booksta, so really looking forward to it ♥️

☕Coffee and Currently Reading☕

Thanks to my good friend @laurapeachpopreviews for the coffee and currently reading tag.

I have coffee (milk, no sugar) here in a spooky mug, and my current read is a buddy read with the appropriately named @caffeineand.books and it is The Book of Accidents by Chuck Wendig. So far, I like it.

In other news, another bookstabuddy @hannahsbookshelf88 has just informed me that UK coffee chain @costacoffee are selling a Toblerone Latte this Christmas - and for this free advertising, I personally think they should give us a free drink each 🤷‍♂️

QOTD - Not wishing a premature Christmas on anybody here but, what's your favourite festive drink?

I'll tag some people who might want to share - but as usual, if this hashtag is your thing - let's see them.
