Here’s my question: Should officers embrace their talents and build something outside the uniform, or is it doing too much?

Because last time I checked, wearing a badge doesn’t mean you stop being HUMAN…And yes, even the so-called “TikTok cops.” 😂

Another misconception… all cops are racist..

We ALL have biases. But does that automatically make us racist? Absolutely not!

Some people hear the word “bias” and immediately clutch their pearls! 😂 But do we actually understand what it means?

Bias is a tendency to discern based on experiences, beliefs, or assumptions. Racism involves prejudice or discrimination based on race.

For example, I have a bias against people who INTENTIONALLY victimize others. I strongly dislike the behavior, but I still believe in treating them with dignity, fairness, and respect. I can hold someone accountable without stripping them of their humanity.

And just as we shouldn’t judge someone by the color of their skin, we shouldn’t assume every police officer is racist because they wear a uniform.

The goal isn’t to pretend we don’t have biases. It’s to recognize them and NOT allow them to dictate how we treat people.

That’s called #emotional intelligence, self-awareness in particular…

Pretty sure this is a universal misconception that we are “trained” to shoot to kill. We are not taught that in the academy. We train to stop the threat.

Deadly force is a serious, life-altering decision that should only be used when reasonably necessary to protect someone, including ourselves, from an imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury.

The goal is to stop the threat, not to take a life.

Largest ACEO/Sticker order I’ve ever received 🥹 Feeling Grateful. This video was taken after a 2 hour , gratitude crying session…here’s the story -

My sister and I were on a FaceTime call , super early in the morning, both of us looking crazy in bed. Catching up, planning a few things for the summer and fall, ya know, chatting. I open my iPad to look at the calendar, listening to her talk about the wedding venue she booked for the fall, and I decided to check my sales on Etsy and I saw I had an order that was more than the typical 1 offs… I clicked and saw there were some stickers and prints in the order , I got so excited and told my sister. When I scrolled down I recognized the name. It was my sister’s name. Right there. I looked at her and exclaimed “STISTERRRR!!! Omg!!!!” She laughed and I started bawling ugly tears. Thru the crying she told me how much it meant to her to support my dreams the way I’ve always supported hers. And then she said, “what else do you have that isn’t on the site? Show me!!” So I did, she chose more, and she made me take her coin at full price. Now, I know stickers and prints aren’t breaking anyone’s bank, but the fact she wanted and bought them all made me feel like it was 1 million dollars.

My sister is active military and her time is very limited while she’s on assignments, so just to get to speak to her every so often fills my heart. But her support of my freedom in art means so much more to me bc she doesn’t have to. I would’ve sent her anything she asked for without taking a dime. Just thinking about her I tear up, she’s come so far in her journey as a person, a woman, and a mother…and now as Medical professional in the Military.
