POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Haven’t posted something like this in a while so here we go. Story time! (Different captions on different pictures cause insta wont let me put it all in one big caption)

Being away this past week on site in Michigan made me reflect a lot, especially on where and who I was when I started my first Fit Body Bootcamp transformation challenge. Now 7 years later, I’m getting ready to open the doors of my own studio (what?????)

I remember the night before the 10 week challenge, my mom and I went to the store to get cinnamon rolls as my “last supper” because I was going to be healthy for 10 weeks (so scary at the time!!!) I ate all of them that night and then promised myself I would give that next 10 weeks everything I had. This was my before and after of that challenge. I lost 10lbs and felt on top of the world (as you can see in my smile on the right)

This past week we were prompted to think of one of the most important people in our lives and 3 words that come to mind when you think of them. I immediately thought of my mom (duh), and the words strength, tenacity, and love. I was inspired by her courage to make a change, her drive to never quit on herself, and the love that she had to give herself to make the choice to make a change in the first place. She did things scared, she did them tired, and she didn’t give up on herself. I just tried to follow in her footsteps.

Covid workouts in the backyard! I learned that you didn’t need a bunch of fancy equipment to get in shape.

We added in some Amazon dumbbells

And had so much fun together at home doing zoom workouts

Battle ropes on the deck?? Next level

I was finishing college at the time and didn’t realize how drinking excessively 4 nights a week, eating take out every meal of the day, and guzzling soda during my diner server shifts was affecting my health (I truly thought that all was fine).

Power tower in the back?? Getting crazy now

All I could think of this past week- when I finished a workout, when I connected with someone I had never met, when I got uncomfortable, when I got pushed out of my comfort zone, when I got tired, was the same thing each time. I LOVE this place. No matter how tired or challenged
