A monster, a music box and a toy Dalek sharing a loch, then a scream addressed to you.
Side A makes tea for three guests at the same water, finds houses for the long-haired with the roof already on, leaves a face deciding to arrive at the free fire, thinks on a Swedish summer afternoon while the pond remembers Atlantis, rings a modern call during migration, and lets the waterfall do the drapery for the live figure. Side B distils essences numbered one-point-one with the exploration still open, scans the stacks with the card catalogue still listening, faces the chorale toward the warmer wall, invites you across the threshold with the kettle already on, holds the room in a thrice-holy hymn, and keeps a place for the scream that already knows your name.
Overall mood: Eccentric, and quietly welcoming — full of open doors, free fires, and co-ops that keep a place for the loud one. Perfect for dusk listening, garden ponds, or sitting still while the next spool still waits.#trevladsounds #electronicmusic #ambientmusic #spacemusic #mixcloud

Been another practice day-this time for @bournemouthemom at @thefourhorsemenpub where the plan is to play music from bands I have seen/to see in 2026.

Would like to do The Adventures (great gig that I saw in January if you remember?) but time is short and so the 4 tracks will be from Thompson Twins and Blancmange (had to be after this weekend!), Kraftwerk and Yazoo.

This picture is of the backpack kit: Microfreak, MPK, TC Helicon Pro V, Shure mic and not pictured is the tablet with the backing tracks and synth settings.

I can go anywhere in the world and play with a microphone and PA using the MPK and the tablet and so (using karaoke as the audition) might one day go international!

NB: music on post was inspired by my EMOM mates (@marc_cattini @mr.symms @martynalner @momotempo who just won an @originalmusicawards award-congratulations!) and @realmcorp whose Sine Waves show is brilliant.

So finally it has been played on radio-Darkside is the song that doesn’t contain a single swear word but the subject matter contains too much sexuality for any other radio station (assuming Nicola Goldman of @chesil radio has yet to play it?). @realmcorp don’t think even you would get away with this one!

Kindly my friends in Frankfurt played it on their radio station on Radio X and the show can be found here (at 14.30 or where the picture shows):

Thanks to Paul from the @emom_ffm and @bournemouthemom for the introduction.

For those that want to find out what the song is about the Spotify link is here but it can be found on all music streaming and downloading channels:

Beautiful day in Bournemouth and looking forward to @bournemouthemom later with @mr.symms doing a set. Very excited!

The music is ‘Frequency’, written using Arturia Microfreak presets-even the ‘vocal’ was not done on the vocoder-and inspired by my EMOM mates and @realmcorp Sine Waves show.

Link here for Spotify but on all platforms:

Having just done the ‘Sine Waves’ session on Sunday, this live radio session was much scarier as it was genuinely live-going out on air as @bashaviolin and I played.

The session on 13/05/25 was with @andy senior of @keep106.3 who was incredibly calm and easy to work with as you felt like you were playing to him and not the whole of the Dorchester area as they drove home.

Interestingly ‘Forward Cries the Captain’, featuring @ohthatmrshaw started the show and ‘Heartbeat’ featuring @julie.krzyzanowska were played but ‘Best of Lives’, chosen by @realmcorp to be played on Sunday, was not.

One of my favourite songs with Barbara is ‘The Cradle’ where her playing is astonishing-all types of violin are played.

The session was completed by ‘Need to Know’, Where Am I’ and ‘We Can Do It’-3 bangers to finish!

Yesterday’s ‘Sine Waves’ radio show which featured 4 @electronique_band’s especially recorded session tracks:

- Need to Know
- Where Am I*
- Best of Lives
- We Can Do It**

* Featuring @ohthatmrshaw on bass and lead guitars
** Featuring Stuart on guitars and @bashaviolin on violin

Thanks @realmcorp and Voice FM for supporting local, original music in what is a consistently brilliantly researched and perfectly presented show.

So…. Some great radio plays (thanks Wired with Ben Bennett and Paul at German Radio station https://www.instagram.com/emom_ffm?igsh=cnhka3V3OTczamlz) last weekend but this week we move to a new level….a session!

Four live performances (done on a pre Christmas Day-Pete Oxy was in Dartmouth day before and we didn’t drink too much did we-@ 2 pm on 24/12) of original songs-live on Voice FM on Sunday courtesy of @realmcorp on his @sinewaves show-from 4pm.

Will you be listening-please do and let me know what you think!

Cheers Max and Bournemouth EMOM he is a friend and absolutely wonderful supporter of what we love doing!
