Happy Disability Pride Month! 🎉

Every July, Disabled people around the world come together to celebrate our identities, communities, achievements, and the progress made through disability rights movements.

Disability Pride isn't about pretending disability is easy. It's about recognising that being Disabled is nothing to be ashamed of, and that Disabled people deserve to be seen, valued, and included.

Whether you're Disabled yourself or want to learn more, this month is a great opportunity to listen to Disabled voices, challenge assumptions, and celebrate the diversity of our community.

What does Disability Pride mean to you? 💙👇

A Disability Pride flag appears across one corner of the collage. Overlayed text reads: “Disability isn't something to overcome. It's something to celebrate. Welcome to Disability Pride Month. If you've never heard of it, keep reading!”

Our biggest Mapping Day yet! 🎉

It was incredible to be surrounded by so many amazing people last week, all exploring and celebrating the accessible places London has to offer.

We turned Tottenham Court Road into a scavenger hunt using the Sociability app, searching for different access features, meeting friendly business owners, and enjoying so many brilliant conversations and vibes along the way.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, and welcome loads of new ones too, including people who travelled from outside London and even overseas to join us. It really shows just how powerful this community is when we come together!

A massive thank you to the team at @sohotheatre bar for hosting us for post-mapping day drinks and nibbles. What a cool, welcoming space. We’ll definitely be back! 🍸✨

Want to join the fun and meet like-minded members of the community? Our next Mapping Days are:
📍 15 August – Brighton
📍 22 August – Newcastle

Do you recognise who my #WomanCrushWednesday outfit inspo is this week?

If you don’t find yourself grinning from ear to ear when this woman @fromthiswindow pops up on your feed in all her gloriousness then I think you’ve lost your shadow but stick with us and through the glory of technicolour we will help you find it.

Seriously though Rebecca warms the cockles of my heart as she advocates for disability awareness with the utmost kindness, tackling tricky topics whilst wearing the most beautiful colours and the most radiant smile. She is a goddess in green and loves a nature pic as much as I do. I think I captured her fashion essence quite well. What do you think?

Tell me below how wonderful Rebecca is 😁
