The Bishop Gallery welcomes you to experience “All That Remains, Residue” curated by Luz Harmon (@sikoluz) now on view at 630 Flushing Ave ♟️

Gallery Hours:
M-F: Appointment Only
S-S: 12pm - 6pm

“The works in All That Remains, Residue do not share a single ancestry, or medium, but what they do share is a method. Each artist is concerned with turning towards what has been left behind in the body and the soul, in one’s spiritual imagination, in the domestic and the monumental and asking what those readings are still saying. Identity, in this exhibition, is never declared but rather assembled from inherent fragments, practiced rituals, and reconstructed through materials that carry the weight of what language alone cannot hold.”

The Bishop Gallery presents “All That Remains, Residue” (curated by: Luz Harmon @sikoluz ), a group exhibition that situates ‘the residual’ as a point of departure.

Drawing on various traditional craft practices, spiritual customs, material remains, and embodied experience, these artists fashion living modes of cultural memory. In doing so, this exhibition asserts that inheritances contract and expand as they pass over generations.

Through methods of return, dispersal, and rematerialization, these artists make use of personal histories as wayfinding material, arriving at what remains by means of myth, memory, and reimagination.

Opening June 20th from 6-9PM
On View until July 25th
