Creating the World we WANT to see!
Addressing the Inequities of the Black & Brown Communities in the State of Delaware

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Supporting our young people is everything!

Wanted to shout out my big bro, Wilmington City Treasurer DaWayne Sims, who hosted the inaugural Treasurer’s Cup Invitational Golf Tournament to celebrate and raise funds for students pursuing advanced degrees at historically black colleges and universities.

As a product of DE’s only HBCU, @delstateuniv provided me with invaluable exposure and technical skills that helped propel my career forward. Through its MPA program, I also gained a deeper understanding of what it truly means to be a servant leader in the public (and private) sector.

With proceeds going to the Treasurer’s Fellowship Scholarship, stewarded by @hbcuweek , it was a blessing to witness investments for the next generation of leaders in business, economic development, and public service. Major kudos to Treasurer Sims, Dany Smith, and the team on bringing this initiative to life. This day was everything and more…

Already looking forward to next year! ✊🏾

Two cities. One day. One mission.

From Dover to Wilmington, we showed up with intention. This wasn’t just a tour stop, it was a reminder that the work ahead requires us to move together, honor how far we’ve come, and tell the full story.

As we reflect on 100 years of Black history, we were grounded in the power of storytelling because our stories matter. They shape memory, fuel movement, and keep truth alive. Watching the exclusive documentary A Time to Yell: More Than a Statue reminded us that history isn’t distant, it’s living, breathing, and calling us to act.

@dr.wesbellamy reminded us that even the smallest seeds carry impact, even when we don’t get to witness the bloom. 🌱

Youth leaders took the mic. Community showed out. The energy stayed high because the purpose was clear: build power, tell the truth, and move forward together.

Huge Thank You again to REC, DRJC, CHESS College, Theatre N, our moderators Cliffvon Howell and Rev. Dr. Ron Whitaker, partners and everyone who played a role behind the scenes. This moment happened because community made it happen.

Building Power, OUTLOUD.
Lead. Heal. Transform.
