AGM-004* - Camp Club by Urge Surfer

Hands down one of my favorite weekends this summer. It’s not something we all don’t know, but away from the apps and hamster wheels of life there’s solace in creation. The state of creating makes me feel at home in a way that very few things do. Here’s a snapshot of some of that dynamic at play.

* I was saying that this release was catalogue number AGM-003, but then I realized that it already existed… just isn’t out yet. More info soon.

⚡SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT⚡
On Sunday, Oct 25th we are playing the main stage at Town Ballroom as part of the Bye Week Ball. Doors at 3 PM, show at 4, we’ll be on at 4:30. 🎟️ are available now, 🖇️ in b!0. If you enter the code FALLBALL you’ll get the early bird special (ends Sept 7). Ages 12+

On a personal note: playing the main stage at Town Ballroom has been on my bucket list since my teens. Don’t get me wrong - I was so stoked when we had the chance to play the Oxford Pennant stage in 2023, but this feels like a long-held dream come true. I don’t mean to lay on the cheese, but after seeing artists like Jimmy Eat World, The Academy Is..., Spitalfield, and countless others on that stage, I’m beyond excited for this show and I really hope you can join us. 🩷

Last weekend we had what we had dubbed Urge Summer Camp, a three day writing retreat in the woods of Western New York. We wrote and recorded two new songs and rather than sit on them, we decided to release them asap. They'll be waiting for you on August 31st on all major platforms. Welcome to Camp Club.

Four years and three releases later, we've finally begun experimenting with live performance. 'Pearl Tea' was written in an afternoon and we decided to turn on a camera to document the process for this year's Tiny Desk Contest. It's also available on YouTube if that's more your thing.
