An evening where film, food, and design come together.
ADFF joined Fisher & Paykel for an intimate evening pairing a curated program of short films with a multi-course dinner by Chef Sam Mason, creating an unexpected dialogue between what we see on screen and what we experience at the table.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening of conversation, cinema, and culinary storytelling. 🍽️

This is just the beginning; please join us to celebrate the official season of ADFF:NY from Oct 12-17, 2026. Link in the bio. 🎬

WA:IT Within - Suchi Reddy

What if a space could unfold like a scent?

Top notes, heart notes, base notes.
A sequence that reveals itself over time.

For Suchi Reddy, architect and founder of Reddymade, composing a fragrance and composing a space have more in common than we might imagine.

In conversation with WAI:IT, she reflects on architecture through the senses: how light, sound, texture and scent can guide us through a place, shift our perception and become part of memory.

Because experiencing a space is never only about what we see.

At some point, we enter it.
And it enters us.

WA:IT Within - Suchi Reddy

E se uno spazio potesse svelarsi come un profumo?

Note di testa, di cuore, di fondo.

There are over 7,000 sheds covering more than 1.7 million linear feet of sidewalk in New York City.

This month, the @nyc_dob proposed new rules that would allow new sidewalk shed designs to be used across the city, marking a major milestone toward a reimagined pedestrian experience.

In collaboration with @kne_studio_architecture , @reddymadedesign and @corescaffold, we developed three of the six selected concepts: the Air Shed, the Flex Shed and the Rigid Shed.

The new designs address the challenges posed by traditional sidewalk sheds, which often create dark, obstructive corridors. Designed with flexibility, constructability, and aesthetics in mind, these concepts offer adaptable solutions for various building types and urban environments.

Design is not just about what we see - it's about what we feel.

We were honoured to host Suchi Reddy, Founder & Principal of Reddymade, New York, at FHD Studio for an inspiring session on "Form Follows Feeling."

From architecture and art to neuroscience and technology, the conversation challenged us to rethink how thoughtful design can shape emotions, enrich human experiences, and create meaningful spaces.

A heartfelt thank you to Suchi Reddy for sharing her journey, philosophy, and invaluable insights with our team. Here's to more conversations that inspire creativity, curiosity, and purpose.

Why would a tech company commission furniture made out of thick blocks of cork? Google commissioned the architect Suchi Reddy and her firm Reddymade to create an immersive experience for their store, including custom furniture. What’s so unusual is seeing cork used in this thickness and dimension, which is extremely rare in furniture making.

Reddy collaborated with furniture maker Daniel Michalik to bring 25 different typologies to life. While most applications only use cork as a thin surface, these pieces use thick cork integrated with a core of white oak. This could represent one vision of the future for furniture design, as cork is an incredibly sustainable material harvested without killing the tree.

Reviewing applications, architect, designer, and inaugural grant juror Suchi Reddy of @reddymadedesign noticed a common thread.

Across disciplines, artists were exploring how creative practice can shape experience, deepen human connection, and influence cultural consciousness.

Ideas like these don’t always fit neatly within conventional models of support. They require time, experimentation, and the freedom to evolve.

Here, Suchi reflects on why that kind of freedom matters, and why grants like these remain essential to artists expanding the boundaries of their practice.
