Hello my friends My latest Travel Essay from the Inner Journey, “The Shadow of my SQ – A Journey from Victimisation”, is about the Gene Key that is at the heart of my chart. The SQ is a journey home to yourself is described as a solo one, and that suits me so well! My Life’s Work Sage word is “Interiority” after all. I am made for this deep, solitary work. I am made for the long hours that I spend alone, contemplating onto the pages of my journal or on my long, daily walks. All of my breakthroughs come from my aloneness. All of my breakthroughs come when it is just me and my pen on the page. I can write and write into feelings of fear, sadness, melancholy, until I catch a thread, a thought, a feeling, that I can follow with my words. My breakthroughs come as I sit here unravelling my words across the page, until I start to see a picture forming. My Shadow of Victimisation is daunting to explore. No one wants to look at their own victimhood, nor admit that they have played the role of victim in their own life. No one wants to expose their own weaknesses or their willingness to capitulate to the control and coercion of others. It is not just that it’s hard to see the pain, but one also has to accept responsibility for one’s part in it. In the Gene Keys teaching, one is invited into a mission to cultivate a sense of wonder and creativity as one looks at the heart of one’s own darkness and that mission is what fuels one’s breakthrough. I have such a firm foundation to stand on, as I look into the heart of my own darkness in this Shadow. I come to it with the wonder of a child full of Imagination in my EQ. I come to the heart of my chart, and the heart of my own darkness, having spent a long time in the void of my Purpose Gene Key, that deep well of Wisdom, that at first appeared as a black hole, but which turned out to be an infinite well of wonder, where miracles happen and shadows are transformed; where fears are melted by the warmth of my love. You can read the whole essay here … https://acauldronofcrones.net/the-shadow-of-my-sq-a-journey-from-victimisation/ #travelessaysfromtheinnerjourney #genekeys #genekey55 #ShadowofVictimisation #SQ

Hello my friends I have just published my latest Travel Essay from the Inner Journey ... The Myth of My Homecoming. I am feeling all the delight of being in my SQ sphere, the heart of my Gene Keys chart. I am feeling the real childlike wonder of being in the sphere that governs the years from birth to seven years old. This sphere is all about love and fun and play and, for me, best of all, mythology and magic! There is a wonderful aspect to the Sphere of the SQ in your Gene Keys Golden Path … "The SQ is centred on the myth of homecoming, for the heart has always been our true home. As long as you feel love, you are home." The Sage’s Golden Path Retreat Arriving in the SQ is such a relief! As I transcribed those words into my journal, which is my way of sinking lessons deep into myself, I felt my shoulders drop and my breath deepen and slow down. I felt myself relax a little more into my chair. Knowing that the SQ governs my heart’s longing for home makes this sphere of my chart feel like it is already my home. After my dad died, 53 years ago, I spent a long time feeling cut adrift from home. I had felt lost, anchorless, rudderless. I caught my first glimpse of home when my son was born, a glimmer of light after 23 years of darkness. Then, when I started the inner work, 18 months later, I felt as if I was embarking upon a journey home. I didn’t know where home was, I had no destination in mind in those early years of inner exploration, but I knew I was on the right path. As I wrote my way deeper into the uncharted lands of my interior, I started to find nuggets of self-love. Sometimes they were more like shimmering dust, sometimes they were handfuls of gold. It took me years of solitary excavation to discover that maybe, just maybe, the home I had been seeking all along was right under my feet. It took years for me to uncover the truth that the most important love of all was love for myself. You can read the whole essay here, if you want to know more about my journey home ... https://acauldronofcrones.net/the-myth-of-my-homecoming/ #travelessaysfromtheinnerjourney #genekeys #sagesgoldenpathretreat #SQsphere #genekey55

Hello friends! We've just published Season 2 Episode 14 of Conversations With A Couple Crones. We have just moved into the SQ sphere inside the Sage’s Golden Path Retreat. We both love this sphere, our Spiritual Quotient, which governs the years from birth to seven years old. It was in our SQ last year that our website, A Cauldron of Crones, was birthed. The SQ is where we play and play, two kids, making mud pies in the barn! The barn is in the ether, it’s in our Voxer space, it’s in our website, and it is here in our Podcast … CWACOC! It’s all just so much fun. Where Am I Now? We started, as we often do, by asking ourselves the question … “Where am I now?”. We have been on this inner path of self-discovery for many, many years. Decades. We are both seekers, and over the years we have both worked with many modalities. We have been travelling with the Gene Keys for several years now; this time, with the Sage’s Retreat, is Meghan’s fourth time through the Golden Path, and it is my third (although I have done the Activation Sequence four times). This week, we have been talking a lot about how hard the inner work can be, how relentless the constant transformation can feel, how exhausting the work can be. We continued that conversation in this Podcast, and the wonderful thing is, through talking, the tiredness dissipated, through this deep connection of ours, the transformation becomes dynamic, the work becomes play! We have come to the conclusion that we are Golden Path Girls, destined to be travelling this path for the rest of our lives, in one form or another. SQ Sage Wisdom We then went on to talk about our SQ Sage words and all the wisdom that goes along with them. In the Gene Keys teachings, the SQ sphere is described as “the energetic hub of your entire journey along the Golden Path.” Talk about magical! Talk about awesome! You’re going to have to listen … you won’t be disappointed! It is pure magic, pure childlike fun, with a sprinkling of elder wisdom. Hello my friends, I have just published another of my Travel Essays from the Inner Journey ... This first week of travelling with my SQ Gene Key has been pretty stormy! Of course it has! The Sage Word is “Lightning Rod”; the Sutra is “The Storm Riders”. It’s hard to reconcile this tempestuous energy of the Sage with the joy and delight of the SQ years. The SQ sphere in your Gene Keys chart represents your life from birth to seven years. Elijah Parker described it as “A homecoming, a remembering. The mythical innocence.” How do I reconcile the storm with this mythical innocence? I’m not entirely sure yet, but all I can do is explore the storm, and see what the wind whips up! Thriving in Extremes "Valorous souls who thrive only in the extremes", says the Sutra for GK55.5 … there is the echo of the Lightning Rod … not only have I weathered the storms that have assailed me, but I have also thrived. I could have been crushed by life, by the struggles I have had to overcome, by the pain I have endured; but I was not crushed. I survived. I thrived. I grew stronger. But the storms have not hardened me and made me brittle; they have tempered me into the strongest metal, a wizard’s staff of copper that can withstand any lightning strike and channel the energy down into the earth. I have written a lot over the last couple of days about this Lightning Rod strength that I have, and although I may only have had the name of Lightning Rod for these few days, I recognise that energy of riding the storm, for it has been the story of my life. I love how I can see my life inside these archetypes of the Sage’s wisdom. I love how I can see the strength of the Warrior, the Valour of the Storm Rider, the conductive, elemental power of the Lightning Rod. If you'd like to read the whole essay, you can find it here ... https://acauldronofcrones.net/a-stormy-sq-sutra/ Until next time, Lizzie 🩵⚡🌩️ #travelessaysfromtheinnerjourney #genekeys #sagesgoldenpathretreat #SQsphere #genekey55

Hello my friends And so my journey through my inner realms has reached the very heart of my Gene Keys chart, the SQ sphere. In the Gene Keys teachings, the SQ sphere is described as “the heart of your Venus Sequence. The Sphere of your SQ – your Spiritual Quotient is the energetic hub of your entire journey along the Golden Path.” This is an important Gene Key. It’s not only the heart of my chart, but it is also the heart of me as a person. I just know that I will be writing more about the SQ and the Gene key that I have here in future essays (a lot more, probably!), but in my latest essay, I share with you the Sage Word and Line that I have here. I knew that the Sage Word for 55.5 was going to be powerful, and “Lightning Rod” has not disappointed me. A lightning rod attracts power; it attracts the energy of an electric storm. It attracts a bolt of power that would destroy most things. The lightning rod is made of strong metal, like copper; but the most important thing about the metal is not its strength, but its ability to conduct electricity. Power flows through a lightning rod without harming it. It is strong, yes, but it is a channel, taking the raw, violent energy of the electric storm and dissipating that power into the earth. I am the lightning rod when I do this work. I work with energies that could destroy me, but I channel them into my growth. Instead of being burned up by the heat of the storms in my life, I have turned them into a source of my own power. I have taken the pain and suffering of these storms and channelled it into fertiliser to feed my soul. I have taken the charge of the lightning strikes in my life and turned them into glistening blue and gold treasures of fused fulgurite glass. Oh, this is such a brilliant Sage word (and the line is pretty cool too!!). If you'd like to read the whole essay, you can find it here ... https://acauldronofcrones.net/the-lightning-rod-an-sq-adventure/ Until next time, Lizzie 🩵⚡🌩️ #travelessaysfromtheinnerjourney #genekeys #sagesgoldenpathretreat #SQsphere #genekey55

In October's Bite-Sized Bravery, we are leaning into Equilibrium as our theme. Equilibrium is the Gift of Gene Key 50, which is Meghan's IQ Gene Key. It is also one of the Pulses for October. And ... it's the Life's Work Gene Key for our website!! We're one year old this month!! Woo hoo!!! 🥳🎊❤️‍🔥 So, we LOVE this Gene Key. Not all stillness is wisdom. Sometimes what looks like calm is actually fear gone quiet. This month, notice where you’ve gone numb, resigned, or “fine” around something that still matters to you. Equilibrium is one of those words that sounds very tidy from the outside. Balanced. Centered. Peaceful. A serene little lake with no ripples. Lovely, right? But in actual human life? In the messy, tender, slightly feral middle of being a person with a body and bills and relationships? With old fears living rent-free in the basement? Equilibrium is much more alive than that. Meghan has worked with it a lot, and she has put together the most delicious Bite-Sized Bravery offering for you. There are journaling prompts and questions to contemplate, inspirational quotes and inspiring articles and videos. You can find the Bite-Sized Bravery post here … https://acauldronofcrones.net/bite-sized-bravery-equilibrium/ As with all of our offerings in the Cauldron of Crones, this adventure is absolutely free! There are no hidden charges or paywalls! Just inspiration, curiosity and joy! Have fun! love, Meghan and Lizzie 🩵 #BiteSizedBravery #ACauldronofCrones #ahandmadelife #journalingprompts #inspiration #Siddhis #GeneKeys #thepulse #Genekey50 #giftofequilibrium

Hello my friends I’ve just published my latest Travel Essay from the Inner Journey. This one is a loooong one! Put on a pot of tea and settle down to read some of my contemplations on the Siddhi of Illumination. I have spent the last month or so deep in contemplation of my Emotional Quotient sphere in my Gene Keys chart. I’ve got Gene Key 64 here, with this delicious Siddhi of Illumination. Now, you don’t need to know anything about the Gene Keys, you don’t need to know the definitions of “Siddhi” or what this EQ sphere is all about, in order to enjoy this essay. And I choose that word “enjoy” carefully … this is about my childhood, specifically the years from 8 to 14, and in this essay, I was particularly focused on the first couple of years, which were, for me, all about joy! “Illumination is to be fully immersed in the wild, spontaneous beauty of life.” The Sage’s Golden Path Retreat I love that description of Illumination, for that wildness is the feeling I remember most from early EQ years. I was wild and free. My world felt limitless. I felt limitless. How perfect to describe my EQ Siddhi as being fully immersed in the wild, spontaneous beauty of life, because that is what my childhood was …. A time of being steeped in nature, in trees and mountains, rivers and lochs. A time of being surrounded by nature’s bounty, not only in the wilds of the Scottish Highlands, but on the traditional farm where I grew up. I saw the beauty of life and abundance in its raw state all around me every day. How perfect to have this Gene Key 64 here. I lived this Gene Key as a child. I was the wild, spontaneous beauty of life in human form. I radiated life and imagination. I am so lucky to have had that start in life. Like I say, this is a long one, and if you’d like to read it you can click the link in our bio to take you to the website. (IG has stopped letting me put links in here, so I’ll also drop a link straight to the article in the comments!). Until next time, Lizzie #travelessaysfromtheinnerjourney #GeneKey64 #SiddhiofIllumination

Hello my friends I have just published my latest Travel Essay from the Inner Journey, which is all about the Gift of my EQ - Imagination … it's called "My Imagination is My Unimpeded Life Force" The very notion that within all of my challenges lies the Gift of Imagination, waiting to burst out of the seed and start to grow, well, that makes challenges much more bearable, and so much more interesting, now doesn’t it?! A challenge no longer becomes something to be “dealt with” or simply “coped with”; it no longer becomes yet another blockage in my path that I have to overcome or transmute. It appears before me, pregnant with possibility. Imagine how much easier life would be if we were able to face our challenges with a sense of excitement for what wonder they were about to reveal. And since one of the wonders is the Gift of Imagination, the possibilities contained within the transmutation of the challenge are limitless, infinite, eternal. This could quite possibly be one of my favourite quotes from all of the Gene Keys that I have in my chart … "Imagination is the expression of unimpeded life-force channelled through one’s life as art." What a life, what a world I could create if I were to see this Imagination of mine as the expression of unimpeded life-force! I could do anything, be anything. I could create anything. I could turn my whole life into an expression of art. I could approach every aspect of my life as an expression of my life-force as art. Imagine how the mundane would be transformed into a magical existence, if the magic was generated inside your own self. Allowing my imagination to run free means being creative in every moment. And that doesn’t mean I have to make things, though that is fun. It means that I suck the marrow out of life and I ensure that my every word and deed become the very stuff of art. They become tiny masterpieces crafted from love and joy and sheer awe of being alive in this glorious world. Hello my friends I’m travelling with one of my most exciting Gene Keys (@genekeys) Gifts – Imagination. What a fantastic Gift for a creative woman to have, what a glorious Gift for a writer. Since the first moments of looking at my Gene Keys chart, when my eyes were drawn straight to that word “imagination”, I’ve been secretly thrilled to have such a Gift. You see, I’ve always wanted to be that creative woman, I’ve always wanted to be a writer, and we know that all art comes from the imagination of the artist. Slowing Down the Intensity of My Emotional Life Working with the Gene Keys slows me down more every day. Who knew that slowing down could be so rewarding? Slowing down the intensity of my emotional life might sound a bit boring to some people, those who thrive on the drama and excitement. I am not one of those people. I am much more suited to a slow and measured life, especially in my emotions. Slow and gentle allows one to see all the nuance; slow and gentle allows one to bask in the sunshine of a smile, the heart opening feeling of connection. That is the biggest reward for slowing down the intensity of your emotional life … you start to notice the connections. You start to notice the commonalities. You start to notice the humanity in everyone you meet. You become more human and more compassionate. You become more understanding. “This is how the cauldron of your belly cooks your deep and sometimes dark emotional shadows, releasing your gifts like an aroma of freedom.” The Sage’s Golden Path Retreat By slowing down the intensity of my emotional life, then the cauldron of my belly has time to cook these deep emotional shadows. What I love about this Gene Keys work is that even though it seems at times to be cerebral work, with its incredible language and poetry and metaphor, what it is continually inviting me into is working with my emotional shadows at a physical level. It is asking me to do the work in my body. If you’d like to read the whole essay, it’s here … https://acauldronofcrones.net/what-im-cooking-in-my-imagination-cauldron/ #travelessaysfromtheinnerjourney #genekeys #EQsphere #GiftofImagination

Hello my friends. I’ve just published another Travel Essays From The Inner Journey. It’s called “My Unique Path of Emotional Alchemy”, and it’s all about the work I am doing with my Shadow of Confusion in my EQ sphere, as I travel through my Gene keys Golden Path for a third time. This Gene Keys work is all about emotional alchemy, it’s about taking the base metals of our shadow patterns into the gold and treasures of our gifts in this life. My path of emotional alchemy is what leads from the Shadow of Confusion into living with the Gift of Imagination. My unique path of emotional alchemy starts with self-honesty and taking responsibility for my piece in the collective puzzle. My unique path of emotional alchemy starts with self-honesty and taking responsibility for my piece in the collective puzzle. I do believe we all have an important role to play in this world, but that doesn’t mean just lying back and taking whatever life brings. Yes, we must go with the flow of life, but we are not flotsam floating on the current. We have choices. And my emotional alchemy is to make the right choices and to take responsibility for the choices I have made in the past. My emotional alchemy is to turn the base material of my victimhood into the gold of freedom. It is to take the mass of confusion and turn it into imaginative creativity. Working with your EQ is an invitation to explore your own wounding. When I feel a reaction rise in me, then I should pause, I should breathe into it, I should ask myself what Shadow is being triggered here? What reaction wants to rise? What wound lies beneath this? And then I should drop my defences. I should open my heart. Because what if I’m really safe all the time? What might it look like to KNOW that I am always safe, because my open heart keeps me safe? What might it look like to know that I am always enough? What might it look like to remember all of this in every moment? You can read the whole essay here … https://acauldronofcrones.net/my-unique-path-of-emotional-alchemy/ #travelessaysfromtheinnerjourney #EQsphere #GK64 #genekeys #ShadowofConfusion

Hello my friends I've published another Travel Essay from my journey with my EQ sphere. The first week or so of being in my EQ sphere in the Sage’s Golden Path Retreat has been so illuminating (pun entirely intended!! The Siddhi of my EQ Gene Key 64 is Illumination!). I am learning so much about Gene Key 64 and my Line 5. I am learning so much about the EQ sphere. Going through the Golden Path this time around, with the added layers of meaning being introduced and expanded upon by this glorious Sage wisdom, has been so different from the two previous times that I have walked this path. Even though that initial, gut-wrenching, holy-shit-I’m-in-my-Shadow-here reality that one feels when one steps into a new Gene Key and sphere has been very present, with the new Sage wisdom that goes along with each Gene Key, a lightness has enveloped me. There has been a buoyancy to this Sage wisdom that is lifting me and taking me soaring to new heights. Life is certainly dishing me up a full helping of Confusion at the moment, but this first week in the EQ, instead of falling headlong into the mire of figuring out this Shadow, has instead seen me relishing and bathing in the Sage wisdom, which is so new, but also feels entirely natural and oh so familiar. This Gene Key invites me, in the most tender way, “to go out in the world of form and to play and create, as gods”. That’s pretty huge, is it not?! Me? A god?! There is that tricky idea of divinity again. Can I embrace it even from my earthbound place of being an ordinary, mundane human? I can, if I let my imagination play with the idea! I can, if I let go of my limiting beliefs about myself. You can read the whole essay here ... https://acauldronofcrones.net/moving-mountains-with-my-imagination/ #travelessaysfromtheinnerjourney #EQsphere #genekey64 #sagewords #giftofimagination

Hello my friends We've just published our latest Conversations With A Couple Of Crones Podcast. This week we have moved into our EQ sphere in the Gene Keys @genekeys Sage’s Golden Path Retreat. We have called this episode “The EQ and Riding the Winds of Change” because, obviously, we are enamoured with our EQ Gene Keys and Sage Words (that’s the first part of the title); the second part refers to the fact that this sphere is so much about change. As our friend and guide @_hayleycurtis Hayley Curtis says ... “The EQ has so much to do with the way we cope with change. Nothing triggers the emotions quite like change. When something suddenly changes that you weren’t expecting … holy moly can those emotions can get going!” So, here we are, in this sphere of change, and we are both experiencing change in our lives … internally and externally … and we have been having lots of conversations this week about how we are navigating these changes, how we are staying grounded and on course, as we are buffeted by the winds of change. You can listen to the podcast here ... https://acauldronofcrones.net/2-13-the-eq-and-riding-the-winds-of-change/ Or you can find us wherever you prefer to listen to Podcasts, just search Conversations With A Couple Of Crones. #podcast #conversationswithacoupleofcrones #EQsphere #genekeys
