Trip recap post:

5 cities. 4 weeks. One really good trip. See you next year. 💫

I’m an introvert. I value solitude and need time alone to recharge. But sometimes what restores you isn’t more time alone, it’s time with the right people.

After four months away, there were only two things I really missed: my kids and my friends.

I needed the conversations. The laughter. The encouragement. The prayer. And I needed them to know they were missed, valued, and loved.

I’ve learned that people like me aren’t necessarily drained by connection. We’re drained by performance.

There’s a difference.

Healthy relationships give you somewhere you don’t have to impress, achieve, explain, or prove anything. You can simply show up as yourself and know that your presence is enough.

Maybe that’s part of flourishing too: building a life with people around whom you can just be and making sure they know how much they matter.

#Atlanta. #DC. #Charleston. #Boston. #GrandRapids.
You gave me exactly what I came home for. ❤️

So good to finally meet @andymineo and @wordsplayed at their release celebration in ATL! Good seeing my brothers @redrev @whatuprg and so many other of my peoples from @blueprintchurch and @umovemntchurch what a blessed time! @casera.sia wanted a tshirt, so we had to get it for her! She has been a Magic & Bird fan since the first release, and would have been there singing all the lyrics except for being at camp with the church! I caught her doing sound yesterday at church, rocking her shirt!

Yellowstone, wildlife, black love, music and food with great people. I am still on cloud nine from having the BEST anniversary and couples trip weekend in Montana!

There is something about getting away with people who pour into their marriages the same way you pour into yours. We laughed about parenting, reflected on our love, ate way too much food, and went from summer in Montana to winter wonderland overnight 😳

We’re grateful to our friends for celebrating with us 🫶🏾

There’s something sacred about this. Good friends, strong marriages, and wide open spaces that remind you how small you are and how big God is. Yellowstone has a way of slowing you down long enough to notice it. You get creation preaching without words, friendships reminding you you’re not meant to do life alone, and marriage reminding you love was always meant to be cultivated, celebrated, and protected. Grateful for people to walk with and a God who still leaves His fingerprints everywhere. Honored to celebrate with yall.

@redrev shares how Jesus lowered Himself to become like us, and how following the Rabbi is a life of descent, not ascent. In a culture that urges us to build platforms, we often confuse that with building the Kingdom, though the two move in opposite directions. As followers, we are called to practice humility, becoming like the weak, the lost, and the last of society.

@redrev speaks on the importance of understanding human purpose and mission and how God can move in this realm for the miraculous day to day.”
