Paid $100 for a Widebody 1st gen Rx7 IMSA race car I found in the backwoods of Oregon back in the day. Unfortunately it wasn't salvagable but I did get my 3 piece Epsilon Southern Way wheels off this car. #rx7 #widebody #impact #rotaryengine #barfing

Project sonic update! I’m excited to collaborate with @redsrotors on this build and see what we can turn this incredibly original SA into without losing what makes the car special. Project Sonic is about to get a whole lot louder. 🔥 #ProjectSonic #RedsRotors #RX7 #SA22C

Unlocking the limits of natural aspiration. 🌀⚡ Unlike conventional piston engines, a Wankel rotary engine relies on a triangular rotor orbiting around an eccentric shaft to execute all four thermodynamics cycles simultaneously across distinct chambers. To maximize power output at high RPMs, engineers optimize a fluid dynamics phenomenon known as scavenging. By leveraging the momentum of exiting exhaust gases and fine-tuning port timing, a localized low-pressure zone is created right at the intake phase. This vacuum effect pulls in a denser, significantly larger fresh air-fuel mixture into the combustion chamber. The result? A massive jump in volumetric efficiency without forcing air through a turbocharger or supercharger. Pure mechanical harmony and high-revving precision. 🧠💨 Love Technology? Listen to this and tell me what you think... Apex seal? Ignition? Low compression? I need help. Either mental help or Rotary help. Maybe both at this point...😵‍💫 Just tagging a handful of good rotary folks that know more than me so maybe someone can tell me the magic trick I am missing!

A normal engine makes power by firing pistons up and down like a boxer punching the air. A rotary engine decided to skip all that and simply spin instead. At the heart of the engine is a rounded triangular piece called a rotor, sitting inside an oval-shaped housing. As the rotor turns, the spaces between its sides and the walls of the engine constantly change size. When a space grows larger, it sucks in air and fuel. As the rotor keeps spinning, that same space shrinks and squeezes the mixture tighter and tighter, just like compressing air inside a bicycle pump. A spark plug then ignites it, creating a small explosion that pushes on one side of the rotor and forces it to keep rotating. As the rotor continues around, the burnt gases are pushed out through an exhaust port, and the cycle starts all over again. The clever part is that everything happens while the rotor is moving in one smooth spinning motion. There are no pistons suddenly stopping, turning around, and going back the other way. That is why rotary engines are so small, smooth, and capable of screaming to incredibly high RPMs despite producing impressive power for their size. In simple terms, if a normal engine works by punching, a rotary engine works by spinning. 📹- @redsrotors (Posted with permission)

Good news for the folks exclusively here to see Max McLeod. Whom have been complaining about the increased amount of rotary engine content. I am moving all my engine antics to a dedicated IG/Youtube channel @redsrotors #rx7 #enginerebuild #12a #13b #nikki sa22 rx7fb
