104th Baren Print Exchange 😀

This time there was no leading theme, and the only restriction was the format: chūban 中判 (25.4 × 19.1 cm)… well, and that the works had to be made using the woodblock technique.

The coordinator of this exchange was Mike Lyon — many thanks for the smooth and quick organization.

The exchange participants were:

…and as usual I had trouble matching Instagram accounts to the right artist 😅 so I’d be grateful for any corrections, or if I didn’t tag someone and you’d like to be tagged, just let me know that too.

Since there was no main theme, this set is very diverse thematically, which for me personally is a plus — it makes it more interesting to look at. And yet, despite the free choice of subject and form, the set still feels somewhat cohesive… or maybe that’s just how it seems to me 😂

I’d love to hear your thoughts 😀

Almost a year ago I took part in the 101 Baren Print Exchange. The theme of this exchange was "Tea"

I'd been meaning to photograph and present the whole set for a while now, but as usual in life, something always came up, ha ha ha.

Each print had to be made using the woodblock technique in chūban 中判 format (190 × 255 mm). There were no restrictions on printing technique, ink type, or paper used.

The coordinator of this exchange was Julio Rodriguez — thank you very much, because coordinating an exchange like this is a lot of work. I'm full of admiration.

There you'll find the artists' own descriptions of the works, reproductions, and specific parameters.

Thanks to exchanges like this, my collection keeps growing — I hope that someday I'll have the chance to present it at some group exhibition 😀
